OT: NWN Persistant Worlds: Who are you?
I've seen a few of you on, but in case I haven't run into you, it would be nice to know who to keep my eye out for. As of now I've teamed with HFP, QuikSand, and Fritz.
My character's name is Arena Helerin. She is an elf bard. She is currently a level 4 character. I could have a lot more experience then that (monster packs, and the like) but I'm trying to roleplay my way to experience. It's a lot slower, but in the long run, I think it's the better/more enjoyable way to go. OK, your turn... Here's who we have: ACStrider - Arena Helerin (bard) (my roommate) - Pollio Rodriguez (cleric) Horned Frog Purple - Hornace PurpleToad (barbarian) Fritz - Fritz (wizard) Quiksand - Quiksand (monk) Thomkal - Thomkal (cleric) Blade - Torin Shivastan (ranger) Critch - Critch Critchski (fighter) BoneGavel - Bonethain Gavel (fighter) scooper - bloodnut the flatulant (ns) KWhit - KWhit the pale (ns) Hell Atlantic - ? Chief Rum - Chief Rumwolf (ns)

I am Hornace PurpleToad, a half-orc barbarian. I have only seen one other half-orc on the server so I should be pretty easy to recognize. I am level 3 right now and can take quite a beating. I am slowly beginning to deal out a beating back.

I made a female, human druid last night named Daimyo Flown (just took the first game generated last name and added it to my fofc nick). I usually have my panther companion, Baby, at my side. I didn't see anyone else walking around with a pet, so I should be easy to spot.

What kind of creature did you have? I wonder if there is a difference between having a familiar and an animal companion? Maybe druids gets more leeway? I'll try to only whip him out in the slums maybe.

ewwwww. I have a panther as well. It seems to be a half used rule. My first character had a shadow, and people made it a point to have me unsummon him.

Sorry I haven't been in the server much lately, guys....had a string of working days.
As far as summons go, in their forums, they say that they highly look down on most summons. These include basically all upper level summons characters and most familiars. They don't like animal companions or animal familiars, but they tolerate them. Yeah, a shadow is a no-no.

I made a Ranger named Torin Shivastan...however, I have not had a chance to get on lately...so I think I will not be hanging around until I can get some levels under my belt first!

I was a human fighter called Critch Critchski for a bit this afternoon, but trying to enter the casino the game hung, I got booted from the server, and when I went back on my character had vaniched.
Pretty annoying cos it had taken me an hour to get those 5 experience points. Only 995 to go til I'd got a level up. |

When the server crashes you need it give it a little time before you log back in. I have noticed that you can login before the server vault (where your player is stored) is loaded. When this happens your player will not show up. Just log out, wait a min. and log back in.

I am Bonethain Gavel, human fighter. I'm pretty useless right now, but I am patient. I picked fighter becuase of the suggestions from the other thread. Fritz and I hooked up the other night, but server crashes halted that.
The server crashes are a bit of a pain, but it is better than paying a usage fee.

ACStrider... would you mind editing your original post at the top and insert everyone's name as we post? It would be nice to have a readily accesible chart.
