I did grab a scroll - and got attacked by a paper spirit. Haha.

He knocked me down to 11 HP, but I kicked his ass pretty quick. No worse for the wear.

I will be moving us to the right today, back into the natural cave room.

stupid paper spirit, even I should have been able to defeat a piece of paper. Ah well guess we should have realized it was unlikely to be real since it seemed so easy, just grab a free scroll and go! But worth the risk to take one to see what happened.

I wonder if the 1st ring is a square which would mean each new ring would get smaller and smaller or if perhaps the 1st ring is only half of a square leaving room for equal sided levels. Or maybe the map isn't square/rectangle at all.

POLI- If you get this and I'm not on, I would like to make a trade for that +1 gladius you found. I can send gold or another dart if needed or a potion that gives you invisibility and a free ambush attack.

I just had a thought, what if we only get prestige items meant for our class? Abe said there was one piece in each ring. Anybody from the same class find different pieces?

I don't think we find things for our own class. Earlier I found a mystical tuning fork - that (or a sliver band) doesn't really sound like they are for a warrior.
