Is A-1 steak sauce the greatest condiment ever?

I use this stuff on everything and today discovered it even goes well with Tuna. Anyone else agree or am I just sick?

No.

BBQ sauce should never have that crap. The only non-local , non-made-by-me sauce I'll buy is Stubbs.

The best local stuff is this: http://www.weathers1897.com - I've had a lot of sauce, and made a lot of my own, but that stuff is awesome.

Ahh sweet baby ray.

Also Tabasco, and Tony's make just about anything better (although really slap ya mamma is better than Tony's but probably can't find it outside of south louisiana - and really those are seasonings i guess)

I'm with you Schmidty, I can't eat the high fructose stuff. They have such an unnatural thick texture for the most part, and the taste isn't as good. BBQ sauce should be a fairly easy natural thing, and the first ingredient (or the second, third, ect) shouldn't be manufactured sweet syrup. The good news is there are a lot more regional and national BBQ sauces that don't use the stuff now.

Peter Luger's Steak Sauce is much better and I think is available in many grocery stores.

Frank's is great for the more widely available hot sauces. I can't stand Tabasco...it has absolutely no flavor in my opinion.

And "salsa, not seltzer" is definitely the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title.

I was about to give you shit for considering salt a condiment, as it definitely wouldn't qualify under my own definition, but dictionary.com fully disagrees with me so my apologies.

And if we are extending to that, similarly the spicy ranch dressing that comes with Outback Cheese Fries is the greatest thing ever, as I've attested to on this board before.

I used to use A1 quite a bit. Then I learned how to cook.

I just make a spice mix of salt/pepper/granulated garlic and use that on almost all of my meats. Works great.

As much of a crack addict fan I am of A-1, this is vastly true. Any good steak needs nothing on it. I have been known to use it on burgers, but I've been using Jack Daniel's Master Blend BBQ sauce and that's amazing to me on a properly done burger.

Famous Dave's BBQ sauce
Spice Mustard

And almost any sauce Nando's has.
