Can't play FOF4
For months now, I haven't been able to even be able to play the FOF4 demo because of this damn problem. I know some of you are really good with computers and I'm kind of a novice. I can't run 16 bit or MS-DOS games on my Windows XP system I keep getting the same error message:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. If anyone knows how to fix it, that would be helpful. I already tried to change compatibility and that didnt work. |

To test running 16 bit application on the local computer go to:
Start Run and Type in "sysedit" If this file will not run, something is corrupt in the software. This is common on OEM versions of a Operating System. |

Sounds like you're trying to run an older program in Win XP.

I don't think anyone runs dos programs on Windows XP, but FOF should run just fine.

There is the possibility of corrupt Win XP files.
Has the hard drive been de-fragmented lately? |
