Who in their right mind would choose a pilsner over an ale?

This should have been a public poll. Then I could shun those who voted for pilsner...

Definately Ale, a Pilsner is for chicks. So, if you are picking a beer with chicks in mind, then I gues you should have both. I find most women do not like a hoppy amber or red ale, but will pick the Pilsner if it is one of the choices.

Are there any good pilsners? I'm not sure I've ever had one.

DOLA, and I'd go with the Imperial IPA.

I thought my refrigerator contained Pilsner Urquell when it actually had Stella. So there's your good pilsner. Unmanly beer? You people are a tough crowd.

To be fair, this question is a touch unfair - Pilsners are a kind of lager, whereas ales encompass a vast array of brews. That said, I almost always prefer ale to lager, anyway.

Next time, if you're going to put up an English-style beer vs. a German-style beer, make it an ale vs. a marzen or bock. That, at least, is a fair fight.

I know I'm a bit late for this, but an ale is the way to go. I suppose I shouldn't judge, as my poor college student ass is drinking old milwaukee.
