Well that was quite a season. Congrats to Motreal, Edmonton, New York, and Ann Arbor!

Buck, you couldn't have just let me have my hard earned draft spot?

Tasan, tough breaks this year.

Not only did we fail to get top 2, but someone in our own conference got the top pick. GAH.

I agree with muns. I don't know if I'd give up on your team quite yet. I actually had high hopes for them this year.

Lourenco Webb (Edmonton) hits 64 doubles this season which is the most since 2011 and tied for 4th most in FOOL history.

Mike Hensley (Montreal) pitches in 100 games this season which is the most ever in FOOL history. The previous record was 97, which was set in 2009 by Kosami Goto of the previous Baltimore Gotham.

Have you seen my system? There's nothing there but a no contact power hitting catcher and a 3B who's just not ready yet. NO pitching at all, and we keep losing out in FA on guys who could help us (or they frickin' retire on me).

Sorry just venting, move along nothing to see here.

My bats just good enough to give me hope, but not good enough to actually produce. We simply don't have a stud anchor to put in the middle of the lineup and say GO GET 'EM. We almost do in our SS, but he's not quite it.

I think I'll pick up and carry your vent. FA has sucked lately. I feel like all I've done lately is lose quality guys and without a single suitable replacement. That's why I gave up on trying to compete.

Your right, but your MLB team still has some talent to compete. This years draft will help your system out some.

I think your in a weird spot. I dont think you have a ton of time with the guys you have, but I think you have the potential to be a playoff team next season. So you gonna wait or blow it up? its only a week to keep em

im too impatient. I planned on doing a rebuild job 2 years ago. High draft picks 2 years in a row, and then I went for it again, and it lands me 3rd..... Which just destroys me for the future. Going back and forth doesnt help me at all.

I should have just stuck with the plan, but that "week" gets me everytime. I hate sucking

I'm exactly the same way when it comes to rebuilding. I start to get good and then try to make a break for it before we're ready. This time, I have to leave for Spain before that happens, and I'm pretty sure that Alan can handle it from there. If Napa starts to do amazing things while I'm gone though, I'm still going to take all the credit.

The new file is up! (Roughly 60 MB)

If you have problems with the larger files and need a small file, you can get it at http://www.bb-bbcf.net/fool/exports/smallfile.zip

Playoffs are tomorrow night 9pm ET!

It looked like it was going to work on the first try...but then it didn't...and I needed the small file (as usual). Thanks for doing that Alan!

HTML is updating now and should be ready at some point while I sleep. I'll run the player development reports in the morning.

And with that I'm heading to bed. Congrats to all of the playoff teams, and I'll leave you with Hasegawa's development from this sim!

Actually, I'm not sure what that is.. Hasegawa's stuff hasn't been 70 in a very long time. Maybe that is actually negative 70!

Anyways night!

Most misleading 76-84 season of all time. We had the third best Pythag record in the RL, just a game behind Hartford, and a game ahead of Ann Arbor. We scored the second most runs in the league and sported the third best starters.

This was just a bad luck season for us. By all rights, we should have been contending for a playoff spot.

Incidentally, we also had a better Pythag record than all but two of the CL teams, meaning we're kinda like 5th in a best of four moves on. Ugh. We even managed to win a bunch of games in September to "escape" from a good pick.

We started off on the bottom, clawed ourselves into the wildcard by the end of June, and then went to sleep. So, apparently the answer was "no, we couldn't win one more game"

Probably would have helped if we could have landed an outfielder in FA to replace Rastelli, but it was not meant to be.

Oh I see what I was doing there. I had a different rating scale on when I was trying to track prospect development/aging progressions. Since people were concerned that prospects were aging too fast/slow, and the different scale helped me see changes a little more.

I need to not do things like that late at night anymore.
