Wow, what forgettable first halves by some of my players. Lead off hitter hitting sub .200. Yay! Jerks, I might just cut the ding dongs after this season.

I probably would have had over 100 losses to be honest. I think i would have cleaned house and start from scratch but thats just my style when things don't go right.

Colorado's bullpen ERA is at 3.46, good for 3rd in the RL. Your closer is 4-7 with 38 saves. There were better out there. Same with your relievers.

Yeah, that's a fall in numbers from July. My closer should be a lot better than that. But then he wasn't lighting things on fire on July 1 either. Kevin King was doing great, though (1.75 ERA in 51 IP). Wonder what happened there?

Well, not like I don't have more pen talent on the way.

I needed that win against Compton. Didn't get it. I am almost certainly just about eliminated.

I think I am already eliminated, but if not, Compton, you need to lose more. Thanks.

Rio Grande is 2 games ahead of Atlanta for 2nd place in the CL, I wonder if Atlanta can surge down the stretch and finish in the money.

Meanwhile, Ann Arbor has eight games left to make an impact against Compton. Colorado's chances are dimming to a faint light.

If I am doing the math in my head correctly, you can only finish 2nd at best now.

That's what I thought, too, but if DC is right, I probably have 8 games left, and that's enough. But in any case, I think I am a goner.

If Quad City wins the last six games of the season, we'll win 70 games for only the second time in franchise history and first time since 1961. If we win 5 more games, that'll match our second best record in franchise history, 69 wins back in 1962. For a team that lost 90+ games four out of the last five years, 116 last year and 108 the year before, progress is measured in increments.

The Wahlberg one is Invincible, I think.

Yeah, it's the Bruce Willis one. Great stuff. M. Night's stuff has reallt fallen off, but he hit a couple dingers with his first two.

Wow, we are still going live? I thought I was just catching up. Congrats Alan T on finally putting it all together after your bad months the last few years.

From the looks of that All-Star roster and DC's comment, I would say my pitching failed me this year while my hitting bounced back. I was hoping to be in the top 3 so I guess I may get my wish, still would have been nice to be closer to first. Mostly I am happy about Aguilera and Reilly bouncing back to have good years. I had a feeling Parker and Daniels would have good years as well. Can't wait to see how bad my pitching was though. Pitts being an All-Star blows me away after he was dropped to 4th in the rotation. 2nd year in a row my 4th starter made the All-Star team while the three guys in front don't.

It'll be Compton v. Valdosta in the FOOL Classic. Neither team has won a title before and have lost in the FOOL Classic once before, meaning someone will go home a winner this time!

Congrats to both teams!

.

Thanks!

Grats to Compton also, and good luck in the FOOL Classic! I'll be hoping to not become the team with the most Championship game apperances without a ring!

Colorado is eliminated, Compton's magic number is 2.

Code:
Compton -- Ann Arbor 4 GB

I better get a ring from Compton. Though admittedly, I didn't actually wnat them to win this year without me.

Nah, that deal would've gave you cushion. But if you wanna cite that as your motivator, go ahead. Congrats, champ. Go finish the job where I couldn't.

Pitts is even more amazing than you may know. His numbers as of July 1: 8-3, 5.06 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 10.46 H/9, and a .312 OAVG!
