I will. No repeat champions in ages, makes me believe that even as dominant as Valdosta has been, that it's 1) the RL's year and 2) Colorado's record was brought down by an unusually deep RL field this year.

I think it'll be close (as always) but that the Rancheros and Chief Rum get their second ring in as many weeks, this year.

I will take back what i said about you being a sore loser, i don't know where that came from. Guess it was at the heat of the moment. I just wanted to be sure that there is no funny stuff going on since i put alot of time as do others into this league and yes i really do enjoy your league. Again i apoligize for that statement.

If possible i would like to leave compton and go with another team and rebuild it like everyone else has done in the league. I haven't found the joy from the success that compton has gotten since really it was a team that was already championship built when i got it.

If thats ok with you DC i would like to choose another team where i can pick the name like the rest of the active players here have done and start from scratch again like others have done when they joined.

That's cool, Jimmy. Glad you decided to come back, as it's good to have you. Texas or El Paso are available for you to take over and move, if you want.

Just let us know what you'd like to do and I can get it setup in-game for this season.

Thanks.

I can take over Texas since Toronto is not availible. I like the fact that i will be in a non DH league and also would like to see some good battles with Valdosta in the way future. Notice i said WAY future lol. This is totally starting from scratch with a team that finished last in the CL which is just perfect for me. Could you rename them "New Brunswick Seabicuits ". Thanks man.

Sure thing. I'll get that in tonight's sim. I like the name a lot, like I mentioned before, so glad they'll be joining the league and happy with another Canadian team too.

I hope you can get someone to replace Compton quick, I'd hate to see the AI possibly win it all next season lol. You never know they had a good season and the pitching staff looks very promising. Everyone was signed for the next season aswell but they will be in a bit of cap trouble possibly for the 1973 season as Williams and Daileys contracts are up. One thing im happy about is i leave the team in good shape so it shouldn't be to hard to find a replacement. I look forward to my new team. Thanks again and i hope theres no hard feelings about what i said before. I just wanted to be sure i was playing in a fair league and now i know i am. You really are doing a great job here so keep up the good work.

Sweeeet...Jimmy is too good of an owner to go, and DC is too good of a commish for controversy. I'm glad we got it all worked out.

Bah, figures tonight is one of DC's late nights. I doubt I'll be able to stay up for the play by play if it is too late tonight.

Nope. I made all three. I usually make a bunch of jerseys for teams and then rotate them out from time to time or sometimes, change the whole team to one and then newbs who get signed wear the other. Just depends. But just wanted you to see the choices. I think they look sharp and since Seabiscuit was a horse, I found a logo that worked perfectly.

Imagine being the commish of said league. Trust me, she's real patient.

Ok, I just need to fix the schedule so the first FOOL Classic game isn't right after the all-star game and then I'll start simming.

I just tell my wife that at least I don't go out drinking, using drugs, gambling or hit up the strip clubs.. so my sim-gaming addiction is pretty mild.

She doesn't mind and she knows it could be worse. It's just sometimes I'm doing FOOL stuff on our weekends together, so she gets annoyed.

Anyway...this FOOL on Oprah moment is over.

Oops.

I almost started simming without download your export. Talk about being rushed and out of sorts.I have to re-download the league file. No games got simmed or anything. Well other than the all-star game, which will sim again, but meh. Could've been worse.

GAME 2: COLORADO 8, VALDOSTA 7
Juan Reyes of Valdosta had 5 RBI, including a triple and a home run, but it wasn't enough as a 9th inning run gave the Rancheros a 2-0 series lead, despite a late charge by the Peanuts in the bottom of the 9th.

Teuro Miyahara went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI in the win for Colorado.

Lets see if 20-1 Garner can actually win a postseason game here

GAME 6: Valdosta 5, Colorado 4
The Peanuts are just a win away from a repeat, after they held onto a lead that started after the scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning and tacked on the insurance run in the third. Joel Garner pitched eight innings of five hit ball, striking out three in the win. Teuro Miyahara went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI in the loss for the Rancheros.

GAME 7: COLORADO 4, VALDOSTA 3

The Rancheros weren't content go home quite yet, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to force a Game 8 in the 1971 FOOL Classic. Alfredo Alvarado went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI in the game, Charles Wilson struck out four in seven innings and got the no-decision.

It is a conspiracy to get a game 9 to get one more game at home for those concession stand and merchandise sells. Greedy front office people.

GAME 8: Valdosta 5, Colorado 2

Whit O'Neal sealed the deal. He struck out 10 in seven innings of work, to get his second win of the Classic to give the Peanuts their second straight title, the first team to repeat since the 1963-64 St. Louis Terriers.

Juan Reyes went 2 for 5 with a HR and 2 RBI in the victory.

Congrats to Valdosta!

Someone obviously did not get the memo on what the game plan was. Expect corporate floggings in the morning.

Great series Chief, when you get back to see how things shook out, it obviously was a pretty close match up of pretty even teams.

I think thats where Compton lost this year when i traded away harris, was gonna use him as a DH. Guess i should have, especially when you think they were only 3 games behind.
