Chief PMd me at 941 I'm shocked he hasn't exp'd or posted a delay request.

Of course, the first sim of FA isn't NEARLY as important as as the Friday sim, so its obviosuly optional.

In case anyone's wondering, that's more or less on purpose. I'm just not sure I want to spend the money to improve over what I already have in place.

I'll still make trades, though.

Way to go, Napa.

You know, this is a lot less "stressful" when you don't export.

Noted that Anthony signed Kelley to a deal, after signing Reynoso last sim. It seems he was serious about acquiring my AAA starters--he just decided to wait until they became available via free agency.

I hope they work out for him.

Heh, LI didn't export and got a FA signing, the guy dragged his feet to get the second year to be a second year, costing himself money on the other end.

Couple of signings of note. Rio Grande makes sure that Tanaka retires there. A small part of me teared up as Wyoming signed E. Reyes, and I don't know why since it is a brand new franchise technically! Finally Ed Morgan just went to the bank (And yes I already checked to make sure the option did not violate the new financial rules)

That is all of the signings for tonight. Looks like there are still some decent pickups in Free Agency available for tommorrow night.

Also remember, this year the VL is being disbanded, so another group of decent players likely will end up in the pool at the end of this upcoming season if anyone plans on saving money for them.

I was wondering how high folks would go on him. Thought about shooting higher, but figured a) a 1B wasn't worth it, and b) he wasn't likely to be *too* high ticket an item. Sorry I took him from you.

Like that one there for you Pike. I wish you would have gotten a 3 year deal out of him, but for that price that is a steal in my eyes. He should make a nice leadoff hitter for you.

In order to be fair to teams that make the FOOL Classic, they will be disbanded during the FOOL Classic Sim.

That means any players that are in that league will be dumped into the free agent pool immediately after the FOOL Classic but one sim before the traditional Free Agency period. Since I have been announcing this for two seasons, no one should be caught off guard!

Updated the Toronto Jersey, and forcing an update on all player pictures to make TimGuru happy

By the way, it was set to not generate pictures for minor leaguers, so not sure why they have pictures.

All ballparks were set to 40,000 capacity per the new financial rules in place this season.

Went through and verified the financials were correct for all teams. Packing up the file now.

Ok, new file is uploading at 960 kbps, so give it about 10-15 minutes and it should be up. I'm off to go workout. Any complaints, send to Dark Cloud (he loves them and will wonder why he is getting them!)

lol i did, i just dont do that kinda stuff unless somehow it comes my way first... Ive found that anytime I have it bites me in the ass, so i just bite my tongue.

Even if it is in good fun like you just did, somehow id blame that on not making it to the classic or something.... I dont have luck period...

I don't believe in that sorta luck. If I'm not in the FOOL Classic this year, it's because I sucked at doing my job here.

In all seriousness, I didn't have much more than what he was asking to spend, so I figured I would lose him. The only hope I had was that maybe someone didn't want to spend all that money on him. I put out 5 years about 65 mil, with that 5th year as an option. Yours was what, 6 years 95 mil, with the 6th an option? So yeah, close to that number up there ;- )

What can I say? I desperately wanted some more pop in my outfield!

Thanks Muns,

Yeah, he fits perfectly with who I am looking to bring in. He's got the abilities I wanted, and most importantly at a price I can afford to pay.

I was scared to go long on the contract, really needed to land him so I met his demands and added some 'sugar' into it to seal the deal. I'll prolly start talking extension at the end of the season.

On a side note, I too was surprised that NV gave O'Cleary the big money. I couldn't justify it, but then I am worried that my choice of sliders may have nixed the productivity of a couple of my guys. Rigsby is another I hated to see go, but I didn't have the 7 mil to resign him with. *sigh*

I should have named this team the Chicago Head Bangers. Its a ball, to be sure.

Got Tanaka and George Stewart back, I am happy about that. O'Cleary didn't even have an offer from me but it was a decision I had to make. And since I made it it must be a good one.

I exported last night Alan, but I actually have something I need to get settled on tonight, so if you can--please erase the export I sent in yesterday. I'll have another up shortly, as soon as I find a starting C.

No need to erase it. You can just upload a new one and it will overwrite the old one.

I don't know how you graphics guys do it. I've been updating graphics stuff in ootp for 2 hours trying to fix everything. Hopefully it will solve all of the issues thought for everyone! (even though at one point I somehow had Hartford wearing Chicago's jersey. It looked funny though)
