Reminds me of the arguments I used to get in with my Brit friends overseas....we used to all get pissed, as they say, and argue about how us Bloody Americans slaughtered the English language. Good times.

My computer is running slow and it is causing some errors on imports, so I need to reboot it. Probably have 3 minutes before it gets back up, OOTP is reloaded and I'm ready to start. Think that is long enough? Since tonight is the trade deadline, I am doing those near the start of the sim (right before spring training), so want to make sure you get yours in on time.

So is that a "good to go" ? Not really fair to wait for everyone else and not you if you need more time

I'm curious as to who all leaves the draft to the computer. I think Anthony always does. Anyone else?

Hehe...
Look I didn't want to say anything to hurt anyones feelings...but the contract was just an excuss...I backed out because of his outrageous dandruff problem. With the new budget rules we don't have enough money for individual batting helmets, and no-one wanted to bat after 'frosty'...there...i said it

I swear, I got him that flea and tick shampoo. That stuff kills small animals. He's clean as I can get him.

Thats interesting. Our definitions of a good player must vary greatly, because I too thought it was a good draft year, but only could go 40 deep. I love this league and everyone's approach to it.

See now, there's a guy I say "Why bother even listing him?" There's no way he's ever going to be successful in this league without a miraculus talent jump. I haven't seen many if any of those, although I guess they must happen. I'm not trying to belittle you either, I'm just trying to understand the merit of even listing that guy, when he's just going to be filler. I wish we could elect to drop out of the draft once our lists were done. I hate wasting time either wading through our cutting all the driftwood from the bottom of my minors.

Smith is solid. I didn't feel his backend ratings were enough to overcome his lack of Stuff, though. But at that point in your draft list, why the heck not?

Not being sarcastic here, can you point me to one player in FOOL under 29 who has had a talent bump?

To each their own. I have long held that having too much is better than too little. And it has worked. Can't tell you how many times I have looked through my system and found some little known guy I threw an MLC at or who was a fifth or sixth round pick for me who actually ends up being a pretty decent player. Sometimes you have to go through a bit of trash to find the gold.

+1. The most tedious thing I do all week, not just in this league, the most tedious thing I do ALL WEEK, is cut all the round 53 guys who plug up my rookie league every Saturday.

Sorry for the delay, I had one contract that i was reviewing to make sure it didn't break any rules that confused me.

For me, it's not a talent bump thing, which I also don't recall right now seeing. It's more that fairly often, players actually exceed their potentials in their currents, sometimes by a lot. You get enough prospects, and some of these guys suddenly show up on your roster.

I have Columbus on Vacation since Turner has been away for a few weeks. I haven't heard from him and don't want to put the team on full AI control just yet. Hoping everything is ok and nothing bad is going on for Turner.

I guess so. I'm still going to cut them all.

Tell me if you ever find one of my castoffs as being productive!
