Thursday, June 1st, 2034: Continental League Names Rookie of Month

Might as well. After B'more and Hartford updated their looks I might need to give Tokyo a little more flair.

I never was too good at making jerseys, so I've been "practicing" the last few seasons. I've quietly been letting the last few champs have a temporary jersey the following year for fun. I think I started it the year after Tokyo won which is fine since Tokyo's jersey looks fine anyways. I don't have any problems if a team wants to keep the temporary jersey though.

I've also been trying to clean up some of the old jerseys some too. The other one I did this season was Boston's trying to make it a little better looking.

Edmonton is 5-14 in one run games. That is either a very unlucky team, or a very bad bullpen.

I thought Boston had an update but I wasn't sure as I couldn't remember if I had seen a zoomed out shot recently. Apex could use some chest art.

Friday, June 2nd, 2034: Santana Reaches 2000
Chico's José Santana got the standing ovation -- but the New York Heroes got the win.
It was a special day for him at Rebels Ballpark. A day when Santana notched hit #2000 of his career. The fans went wild when he did. Even the Heroes fans applauded.

The Rebels center fielder went 2-4 in a losing cause as New York spoiled the party with the 3-2 victory.
In the postgame interview, a downhearted Santana told the media, "We lost -- It's not about individual accomplishments -- we lost."

When pressed further, he admitted his pride in reaching the 2000-hit mark, "A lot of great players never get there. I'm proud, but I would be happier if we had won."

Santana has a career .302 batting average and .417 on-base percentage. He has recorded 2001 hits with 595 doubles, 73 triples, 35 homers, 656 RBIs and scored 1237 runs since coming into the league.

The all time record for a hitting streak is 44 by Luis Marquez of Chico back in 2016.

Wednesday, June 14th, 2034: Phillips Pitches New York to Shutout Win
Edwin Phillips shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling New York past Hammersmith 7-0 in a complete game victory.

He told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."

Phillips held the Hammersmith Hooligans without a run, tossing a 2-hitter while walking 2 and fanning 4.

In the 2034 season Phillips has recorded a 7-3 mark. In 14 starts he has fanned 61 batters in 94.1 innings with a 3.91 ERA.

Dimiceli becomes only the third player in FOOL history to hit in 40 straight games! The first to do it since 2019 when Luis Sowards, FOOL's all time hit king hit in 42 straight for Hartford.

Sunday, June 18th, 2034: Dimiceli's Hit Streak Reaches 40 Games
Today at Assasins Ballpark Apex lost to Boston 6-4, but Sandro Dimiceli kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 3 hits. The Assassins right fielder has now delivered hits in 40 straight games.
S. Dimiceli grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

Looking at his season stats, Dimiceli has compiled a .349 batting average and a .387 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 29 runs.

Boston puts a halt to the streak!

Monday, June 19th, 2034: 40-Game Streak Ends, Dimiceli Hitless
Assassins right fielder Sandro Dimiceli was one of the hottest hitters in baseball, coming into today's game against Boston with a 40-game hitting streak. However, the Settlers put a chill in his bat, at least for today, and held him hitless in 3 at-bats during the Boston 7-5 triumph at Assasins Ballpark.

In his 2034 season totals, Dimiceli has 2 home runs, .346 BA, .383 OBP, 29 RBIs and 49 runs scored.

Wow, Macleod had a 7.23 ERA last year and now he's an All-Star. I was really close to taking him out of the bullpen all together.
