47 year difference, so could be an old father or uncle (or I guess a very young grandfather!

Sam Dawson was born in Brooklyn, Frank Dawson born in Delaware.

They both weigh about the same 195 to 197 pounds.. They even look similar!

Anyway, on this note, I meant to mention that the "backstory" on my rookie SS Sanu is that he's the grandson of the Ranchero great 'Slider' Sanu. So this is a topic I've actually been thinking about lately with the age of the league and all.

You might need your monitor adjusted darlin. I don't think that's what the rest of us are seeing. And thank God, I've never actually seen the real life version of that either.

Isn't 47 years more than enough to be a grandson? My dad was 25 when I was born, and his dad was 20 when he was born, so that puts us only 45 years apart.

Saturday, September 2nd, 2034: Luján Slugs 300th Home Run
"I wasn't trying to hit a homer. I just wanted to make contact."
That's what Sergio Luján told reporters after he made baseball history today at Charm Ballpark. The prolific slugger belted home run #300 in the Baltimore Charm 6-4 victory over the Boston Settlers.

The standout second baseman collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.

"I guess this puts me in baseball's elite," said Luján. "I don't feel any different. I probably should, but I don't. Still, it is a nice achievement. I did get a little excited, didn't I?"

In his career stats Luján has compiled a .322 batting average and collected 1507 hits, 300 home runs and 877 RBIs.

I guess so! My parents were both around 60 when my kids were born, and my grandparents were in their 60s when I was born. But I guess 40s-50s range isn't too much of a stretch!

In direct contrast to Edmonton's difficulties in 1-run games, Boston is having the opposite fortune in those games.

Perhaps the big news story of the upcoming playoffs if Boston and Baltimore both make it will be Boston's signing of Mike 'Alley Cat' Hensley away from Baltimore this season. All Hensley has done is go 6-0 with 40 saves and a 0.98 ERA.

Hensley is actually a freak of nature now that I look even closer at him.. at age of 40, his stuff has not dropped at all from what I can tell and his movement has actually increased!

Friday, September 15th, 2034: Minns Reaches 2000 Milestone
Settlers second baseman Declan Minns never thought his name would be associated with some of the great players in league history. Now that he has reached the 2000-hit threshold, that's all but guaranteed. Minns collected his big hit in a 5-4 loss to Tokyo.

Afterward, he thought about the achievement: "Overwhelmed," he said. "That's how I feel about it right now."

Minns went 3-5 for the game.

Minns has a career .287 average with 2001 hits, 369 doubles, 57 triples, 162 home runs, 718 RBIs, and 1092 runs scored to date.

Sunday, September 17th, 2034: Santana Rips HR Number 300
It was an historic day in the life of Luis Santana. The 32-year-old Ann Arbor first baseman recorded the 300th homer of his career in the Winged Lingerines 5-1 triumph over the Chico Rebels.

In the clubhouse after the game, Santana told BNN, "I was just looking for a ball to drive... and I got one."

Lifetime Santana has played in 1289 games with a .314 batting average. Among his 1584 hits are 298 doubles, 10 triples and 300 home runs. He also has scored 806 runs and driven in 980 runs.

I really hated the fact that he signed with a league rival. I just had to pick between him and O'Bryan, and I was more 'attached' to O'Bryan, if that makes any sense.

Boston and Baltimore both clinch playoff spots in the CL. Boston has a magic number of 5 for home field advantage in the CLCS.

Colorado and Hartford both have a magic number of 1 to make the playoffs.

Well I was finally able to get 5 guys that could pitch 5 or more innings, giving me the opportunity to go to a bigger rotation. I knew he's do better in one with his low endurance. Its just those 4 other stiffs I worry about though.

Colorado finishes the season with 3 games at home vs Ann Arbor
Colorado is 23-7 vs Ann Arbor this season

Hartford has 3 games at home vs Chico.
Hartford is 15-15 vs Chico this season.

The matchup seemingly favors Colorado.
