Pichette Blasts 3 out of the Park
Gaël Pichette must believe in the "Big Bang Theory". He proved it today by going deep three times against the England. The heavy-hitting Canada first baseman added a lot of firepower and excitement to today's 9-6 win over the England.

Fans and foes alike are still buzzing about his standout performance at Assasins Ballpark.
He told reporters, "I've been working on my swing... trying to keep it short, compact and simple. It worked today."

For the game he had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 3 runs.

G. Pichette grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off D. Hasler in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off D. Hasler in the 5th, walked in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off D. Eddie in the 10th.

Hits Galore: García Drills 6 Hits
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Mexico's Anastasio García told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."

It definitely turn out well for García today as he collected 6 hits in 6 at-bats against USA. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Mexico knocked off the USA 13-3 at Rebels Ballpark.

A. García singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off K. Baty in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off K. Baty in the 8th.

Looking at his season stats, García has compiled a .471 batting average and a .591 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 3 runs.

5-Hit Blitz by Cuba's Lara
Domingo Lara put on a hitting clinic today as the Cuba dumped the Canada 7-2 at Charm Ballpark. The Cuba second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Canada pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game.

He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."

D. Lara singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Time for a quick WBC trivia question. Without cheating, name the three teams that have made it to the WBC semi-finals in every FOOL WBC thus far.
