Soft Cell vs Eddie Holman - Holman needed a tiebreaker in a low vote round 1...doesn't bode well for round 2...
Steam vs Shawn Colvin - not sure how this plays out...neither song got much support in round 1, but I'd guess Steam had a tougher round 1 opponent. Cardigans vs OMC - first blush I'd suggest this could be interesting...but ultimately, my gut tells me it won't be that close. Kajagoogoo vs House of Pain - On the surface it looks like a good match up, but I don't think this one will end up being close either |

Clear choices for me on all but the last matchup - both good in very different ways

Really tough matchup on the last one. Went with Too Shy. The overplayed factor hurts Jump Around for me, though I do like the song a lot.

Soft Cell vs Holman - exactly what I expected...
Steam vs Colvin - Na Na Hey Hey looks to be the next song stomped by Tainted Love Cardigans vs OMC - knew OMC had it's supporters, and I thought it might be closer, but I'm assuming many OMC supporters just like Lovefool better... Kajagoogoo vs House of Pain - knew it was going to be pretty close, felt HoP would win, but there was some doubt...the next round btwn HoP and Cardigans could be even closer... |
