Bad news guys, I have a surprise trip to Seattle that just got finalized late yesterday. Arrive Wednesday afternoon, then back Friday afternoon, and then on a trip to Clemson for the first home game of the season, not coming back until Sunday afternoon.

My internet will be very sporadic. I likely will only be able to update the pick detail posts and Yahoo once a day, if that.

I will also probably have to ask someone to draft for me in my absence. Apologies for the timing, but I spent 3 weeks trying to get out of this trip, and ended up pretty much being told that I'm going just yesterday afternoon.

I think we are still a ways from being done, so we may well have to keep the clock on over this coming weekend in order to finish on time.

Draft hasn't gone very fast this year, and I mostly blame myself for that. I just haven't been able to nudge things along as per normal. Just please keep PM'ing people after you so that they know it's their turn.

Not sure why you're surprised. Again, it's a 2-QB league. In a league with byes. I'm shocked you have just one right now (or did when you posted earlier).

Agreed. There are 10 teams, if everyone has 2 starters and 1 on the bench, that's 30 of 32 starting QBs that will be claimed. And considering the exclusivity that the QB position has (they don't have touches spread around like RB, WR, and TE), that makes it hard to really score well if you end up with #'s 29 and 30 of 32.

You're right about the exclusivity mattering to QBs. But in a league with a thin bench (5 compared to the typical 7, and for a team with 14 starters as opposed to 9), I'm surprised people are _this_ interested in getting their third QBs chosen to cover 2 total bye weeks... especially when people need starting TEs, Ks, and DSTs.

I took a third one because, while Sam Bradford has potentially more upside than any other QB out there, it is still very much a question mark. And, since I have key players hurt, and he's injury prone, and I'd rather a better option on my bench than someone like Kirk Cousins or Mariota, well...I snagged one earlier (11th round, but yeah). I'll get more QB production than TE production...and that position is a lottery ticket, anyway (since I missed out on Gronk because my internet blipped out).

So, the choice was easy for me, getting a third QB over a TE.

If you don't have Gronk or Graham, it's worthless to not just wait to the end of the draft to grab a TE. Ks are always an end up of draft position for me.

Ds should be picked though.
