He looks good enough to win a super bowl with. Makes me wonder exactly how bad that zero in timing hurts him.

A very ugly win, but I'll take it. It seems that the AI calls alot more runs with Robinson, which has worked out so far. It will be interesting to see what happens when he is forced to pass.

Robinson leads his first 4th quarter comeback for us. Despite throwing two early INT's, he gets us 13 unsanswered 4th quarter poitns for the victory. He also managed 24 yards rushing on 5 carries.

Robinson struggles this week. He only manages 18 completions in 39 attempts, for 228 yards. Despite a decent defensive performance, we just couldn't convert on 3rd downs (4/13) and could not do anything in the 4th quarter.

And that'll be it for tonight. At midseason, we are 5-3 and have the division lead, but our usual rival Jets and Patriots are sitting right behind us at 4-3. The QB situation really isn't settled yet. I think we could be a great team if we coudl just get some consistent play out of that position.

I give Haag another shot, and he responds with a 13 for 25, 168 yard performance and 3 INT's. Did I destroy his confidence by benching him? He'll get one more week. The defense played good considering the awful position they were contantly put in.

For the second straight week, Haag throws 3 picks. This time he gets replaced by Robinson, but it's much too late. Calvin Johnson's 12 catches for 168 yards are completely wasted.

With our playoff hopes fading fast, Haag finally gets it together with 271 yards and 3 TD's. Ron Duncan helps by picking up 115 yards on the ground, and our vaunted pass rush comes up with 5 sacks.

Haag has another great game as he leads us to a huge road win against an 8-3 Baltimore team. Haag went 28-37 for 330 yards and 3 TD's. He did have 2 picks, which still causes some concern.

We get throttled again as Haag serves up another turkey. He now has 12 TD, 16 INT on the year. With a crucial game against the Patriots next week, I have to decide whether to stick with Haag or go to Robinson.

A crushing defeat that seriosuly damages our playoff chances. I started Robinson in this one, and he had a good game throwing for 306 yards and 3 TD's, but New England hit a FG with 5 minutes left to win the game.

We beat up on a 7-7 Washington team to keep our slim playoff hopes alive. Robinson throws 3 TD passes again, but the real star is RB Ron Duncan who picks up 179 yards on 22 carries. Backup RB Snyder had 57 yards himself.

We sneak into the playoffs after this very satisfying thumping of our hated rivals. Wesley Robinson is one of the most popular guys in Miami right now. He had 235 yards and 2 TD's in this one, while the defense pulverized Patrick Ramsey and backup Rufus Scott for 7 Sacks and 8 Hurries.

2015 Playoss - Wildcard Round
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Our reward for barely making the playoffs is a trip to Foxboro to meet the Patriots, who beat us twice this year.

The game starts off great for us. Ron Duncan goes for 10 yards on his first carry and Casey Snyder follows that up with a 33 yard gain. Then ont he next play, Wesley Robinson scrambles for a 9 yard gain. Unfortunately, the next two plays net zero yards and we are forced to bring Tynes in, who misses a 45 yard FG. The Patriots convert a 3rd and 16 on their first drive, but then stall after Brady can't convert a 3rd and 3. Wesley Robinson got hot on the next series, finding Tony Osburn for back to back completions of 27 and 40 yards. An 8 yard completion to Andre johnson set up a 5 yard TD pass to Osburn. New England was ready to answer, though. Brady found Rob James for a 51 yard completion on the first play of the next drive. Four plays later it wa sa tie ballgame. We trade punts to end the quarter.

End of 1st quarter: Miami 7, New England 7

With Haag watching from the sideline, Robinson continues to show off his arm. He completes a 26 yard pass to Calvin Johnson on 3rd and 5. He also completes a 21 yarder to backup Hunter Dotson, before finding Osburn (yet again) for a 19 yard TD pass, giving us a 14-7 lead. We force another punt by the Pats, but then make a huge mistake. On the first play of our next series, Duncan fumbles the ball, giving the Pats the ball at our 25 yard line. The Pats cannot convert a 1st down, but are able to hit the 39 yard FG to make it a 14-10 game. Despite good field position, we are unable to convert first downs for the rest of the half.

End of 2nd quarter: Miami 14, New England 10

A good run stop by S Ron Bartell stops the Pats on the first series. We follow that up by putting together a decent drive. Duncan has a couple nice runs, Robinson scrambles for a first down, and Johnson catches a 30 yard pass. The drive stalls on a 3rd and 9 and the Patriots 28, but Tynes makes the FG this time and we lead 17-10. The Patriots get some life ont heir next series. Brady completes back to back passes of 22 and 29 yards , leading the Pats to a 1st down at the Dolphins 13 yard line. However, Ron Bartell comes up huge again with an INT in the end zone. We can only convert one more first down on the next series and punt back to the Patriots.

End of 3rd Quarter: Miami 17, New England 10

New England takes over at their own 28 and begins an efficient drive, where they convert 4 first downs, including two on 3rd and short. On 1st and goal from the 9, Pats RB Justin Andrews runs around end for a 9 yard TD to tie the game up with 12:53 left. Robinson works quickly ont he next drive. After Duncan runs for 14 yards, Robinson finds TE Broderick Cohn for 25 yards. Later, he converts a 3rd and 8 by completing a 10 yard pass to Dotson. This gives us the ball at the Patriots 29 yard line. Unfortunately, veteran G Josh Beekham lets a defender by him and Robinson is sacked for a 6 yard loss. We can't conver the 1st down. Fromt he 35 yard line. Head Coach Blaine Begian makes a controverisal call by punting. It's a predictable touchback, for only a 15 yard net gain. Thankfully, the Patriots gain -2 yards on their next three plays and punt it right back to us. This gives us the ball at midfield. The Patriots make an uncharateristic mistake by committing an unsportmanlike conduct penalty, giving us the ball at the 34 yard line. Duncan follows that up by going for 13 yards down to the 21. On 3rd and 10 is a beauty of a play. In a trip formation, Robinson hands the ball off to Casey Snyder, who runs for 18 yards, giving us a 1st and goal at the Patriot 3. Two plays later, Ron Duncan scores on a 2 yard TD run for 24-17 lead and only 3:48 left in the game! Now it's time for the defense to hold on to the lead. On 3rd and 2, Brady scrambles for 6 yards and a 1st down at the Patriot 34. They would get no closer. Two incompletions and a sack left the Pats with 4th and 15 from their own 29. Brady's 12 yard completion to Justin Andrews was not enough and we take over with 2:00 left. Three straight running plays and we give it right back to the Pats. We could only run the clock down to 1:19, buit did force the Pats to use all timeouts. Brady managed to convert one first down, but it took him four plays to do so. He now had 70 yards to go in only 28 seconds. On 2nd and 10 Brady was intercepted by Ellis Hobbs to end the game.

Final Score: Miami 24, New England 17

This has been a very interesting read. Don't give up, though it looks like you'll have to find someone besides Haag to take you to the Promised Land.

FOF2K7, better than any previous version, brings the individual player to life. I can just hear the sports talk on the radio about Haag, the complaints from the Dolphins fans and the media's calling for your head for benching him and destroying your team's chances. Good stuff

I'm glad you enjoy this dynasty.

I totally agree about the individual player aspect. One of my favorite examples is the way Casey Snyder has played in this dynasty. I signed him as an undrafted FA just to backup Ronnie Brown. He's a very low rated player (ranging from 31-38 overall throughout his career) with one high rated category in elusiveness, which has always been above 80. Based on ratings, there is no way I would have kept him this long. But he's played so well above what the ratings suggest, I have to keep him. He's now my favorite player on the team and reminds me alot of former Dolphin RB Bernie Parmalee.

As for the sports talk idiots, I would tell them that Robinson was 5-2 this year, while Haag was 4-5.

2015 Playoffs - Divisional Round
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans

We open the game with the ball and two Duncan runs net 8 yards. On 3rd and 2 from our 28, Robinson is intercepted. Thankfully, the Titans fall apart on their drive with an Offensive Holding penalty and then Vince Young throws an INT right back to us. Starting from our own 37, we Robinson quickly completes passes to Calvin Johnson and Broderick Cohn, but the drive stalls when his pass to Osburn on 3rd and 7 only nets 6 yards. Tynes attempts a 45 yard FG but it falls short. The Titans take over at their 35, and Vince Young opens up with a 20 yard completion. However, two plays later, Tennessee RB Rex Kamieniecki fumbles the ball and we recover at our own 43. Robinson converts two 3rd downs, including a 3rd and 14 and Casey Snyder runs it in from 1 yard out for the TD and a 7-0 lead. Both teams go 3 and out to end the quarter.

End of 1st Quarter: Miami 7, Tennessee 0

The Titans start off by converting a 3rd and 5 and a 2nd and 17. Then they get themselves into a huge hole. On 1st and 10 they are called for illegal use of hands. On 1st and 20, they are called for Offensive Pass Interference. On 1st and 30, they are called for Holding. They can only gain 11 yards of it back before punting. We are pinned deep on a great punt and after a 3 and out, Tennessee gets the ball at their own 35. On the next series, Young completes a 20 yard pass to his TE and then on 3rd and 2, completes 12 yard pass to his RB, who fumbles and then recovers his own fumble to advance for 15 more yards. This gives the Titans 1st and goal from the 5. they kill themselves with penalties once againa and are forced to kick a FG to make the score 7-3. CB Rufus Sommer returns the next kickoff to midfield, giving us a great opportunity with 3:51 left in the half. Robinson converts a 3rd and 3 by finding Cohn for 22 yards. A completion to Hunter Dotson gave us a 1st down at the Titans 9 yard line. On 2nd down at the 8, Casey Snyder runs a sweep and is able to turn the corner to find the end zone and a 14-3 lead. Another Titans penalty on the kickoff return left them at their own 7 yard line with 1:26 left. On 2nd down, Kamieniecki coughs up the ball. Three plays later, Casey Snyder runs it in from the 8 yard line for his 3rd TD of the day. Suddenly, we are up 21-3 and the 13-3 Titans look hopeless.

End of 2nd Quarter: Miami 21, Tennessee 3

The Titans start off the 2nd half going 3 and out. We get the ball at our own 12 but fail to convert a 3rd and 5. The Titans are able to block the ensuing punt and get the ball at the Miami 8 yard line. Thankfully, our pass rush comes up huge once again, as Young is sacked for an 8 yard loss on 2nd down. Tennessee is eventualy forced to kick a FG and the score is now 21-6. On the next series, we start at our own 37, but penalties force us into a 3rd and 16 situation. Robinson gets the ball to Calvin Johnson but the measurement comes up just short and we have to punt. The Titans take over at their own 15, but on the very first play of their next drive Vince Young is intercepted by MLB Chuck McNiven. Three plays later, Tynes connects on a 21 yard FG for a 24-6 lead. The field position battle begins to work in our favor. At the end of the 3rd quarter, we punt from the Titans 43 yard line and the ball is downed at the Tennessee 2 yard line. On 2nd and 10, Tennessee is called for holding in the end zone, giving us 2 pts at the end of the 3rd.

End of 3rd Quarter: Miami 26, Tennessee 6

Tennessee makes a bizaare call on their first drive of the 4th. They get to our 45 yard line and face a 4th and 6. With a 20 pt. deficit and only 9:43 left, they choose to punt. On theor next drive, they make it to our 41, where Young hurls a long pass into the end zone, but Safety Ron Bartell comes up with the INT. We still have trouble converting 1st downs to run out the clock, but the Titans can't do anything on their end. They fail on a 4th and 3 at their own 27. With 46 seconds left, Young can only get 19 yards on 4th and 20 and the game is over. Haag kneels down three times and we're off to the conference finals!

Notable stats:
QB Wesley Robinson 18-27-193 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
RB Casey Snyder 12 carries, 29 yards, 3 TD
WR Calvin Johnson 6 catches, 48 yards
WR Hunter Dotson 4 catches, 64 yards
MLB Chuck McNiven 5 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 Sack, 1 INT, 1 Forced Fumble
DE Neal Dawkins 1 Sack, 3 Hurries, 2 Knockdowns

2015 Playoffs - Conference Championship
Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs

It has been a very strange postseason in the AFC. The Tennessee Titans had the best record in the league at 13-3, and had the #1 offense and #2 defense. However, they played like crap against us in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC West with an 8-8 record, and beat #2 seed Baltimore 34-14. This means, that the conference championship will be between two teams with combined 17-15 records, and an 8-8 team will have the home field advantage.
The Chiefs get the ball first and force an immediate 3 and out. Robinson moves the ball efficiently in his first series. He scrambles for 6 yards, Duncan runs for 5, Snyder runs for 6. Robinson then finds Cohn for 17 and Osburn for 22. The drive eventually stalls at the Chiefs 28, and Tynes continues his pattern of missing early FG's. The Chiefs come back on their next drive by converting four 1st downs to get to our 33 yard line. On 1st and 10, Rex Grossman (yep) finds WR Dan Blackwell for a 33 yard TD pass. Robinson quickly converts to 1st downs on the next series, but on 3rd and 10 from our own 37 he gets intercepted at midfield. The defense comes up huge by forcing a 3 and out.

End of 1st Quarter: Kansas City 7, Miami 0

Robinson opens up the 2nd quarter by converting a 3rd and 8. Duncan runs for 10 yards, and Robinson finds Johnson for 13 more. This gives us the ball at the Chiefs 39. Robinson tries to go to Johnson again, but is picked off. Maybe his nerves are getting to him? Hopefully he can shake out of it. The Chiefs drive to midfield before they have to punt, where they pin us at the 9 yard line. Robinson immediately completes a pass to Calvin Johnson for 30 yards and then finds Hunter Dotsdon for 36, We drive to the Chiefs 25 yard line, but Robinson throws his 3rd INT of the game at the 4 yard line. He is redeemed on this one, as Ellis Hobbs picks offf Grossman's first pass of the next series and returns it to the Chiefs 7 yard line. Two plays later, Ron Duncan runs it in for a TD and a tie game. With 4:15 left in the half, The Chiefs go to their deep game, and our defense struggles to keep up. Grossman completes passes of 17, 33, and 20 yards (for the TD) to put Kansas City back up 14-7 with 3:28 left in the half. In hurry up mode, Robinson gets the ball downfield on completions of 13 to FB Clyde Samuels, 28 to Johnson, and another 15 to Johnson. Two plays later we face 3rd and 7 at the KC 13 yard line. Begian calls an ill-advised draw play and FB Ernest Garcia coughs it up at the 10 yard line. What a frustrating first half. So many missed opportunities.

End of 2nd quarter: Kansas City 14, Miami 7

The team comes out fired up in the 2nd half. It shows on the 1st play as Ron Duncan takes the ball at the 20 yard line and runs 79 yards down to the KC 1 yard line. Two plays later, Robinson throws a 2 yard TD pass to Garcia and the game is tied. The emotion also shows up on the defensive side. Grossman is incomplete on first down. On 2nd down, Chiefs RB Leon Barrett is stopped for a 3 yard loss by McNiven and Bartell. On 3rd down, veteran DT Claude Wroten comes up with a sack and the Chiefs are forced to punt. We start with great field position at our own 42. On 3rd and 6 at the 46, Robinson finds Tony Osburn for 21 yards. Then on 3rd and 8 at the 31, he finds Tony Osburn for 30 yards. On 2nd and goal from the 2, Robinson completes to backup TE Chester Fox for 2 yards and the TD. Just like that, we are up 21-14. After a good kickoff return, Kansas City once again fails to convert a 1st down. A great punt pins us at our own 1 yard line. On 1st down, Duncan gives us some room by running for 7 yards. Then on 2nd and 3, Robinson heaves a long pass downfield to Calvin Johnson, who catches it for a 48 yard gain. Later onin the drive, we face 3rd and 6, and Robinson comes through again with a 22 yard completion to backup FB Clyde Samuels. This gives us 1st and goal from the 8. We are unable to punch it in this time, but the short FG is good and we are now up 24-14. And that's it for an amazing 3rd quarter.

End of 3rd Quarter: Miami 24, Kansas City 14

In comeback mode, the Chiefs convert 4 3rd downs and drive to our 7 yard line. But they are stopped on 3rd down and kick their own short FG to make it a one possession game again. On our next drive, a stupid penalty ruins a 20 yard completion to Calvin Johnson and we have to punt. However, the Chiefs can't convert a 1st down and punt it back to us with 5:47 left. We cotninue to show our weakness at grinding out the clock with a 3 and out that only takes 1:30 off. Thankfully, the Chiefs are just out of rhythm in the 2nd half. They find themselves with 4th and 8 from their own 26 and 2:56 left. Instead of punting and trusting their defense, they decide to go for it. Wroten blows by his blocker and rushes Grossman into a terrible throw. We get the ball at the Chiefs 26 yard line and 2:48 left. We still can't get a 1st down, but it doesn't matter so much this time. Tynes is able to connect on a 38 yard FG try to give us a 27-17 lead, essentially icing the game. Kansas City goes into no huddle mode, which turns out to be almost comical. On 1st and 10 from the 49, they get whistled for false start. On 1st and 15, DE NEal Dawkins sacks Grossman for a 4 yard loss. On 2nd and 19, they are whistled for another false start. This makes it 2nd and 24. Grossman's next three passes are incomplete. With only 20 seconds left, Wesley Robinson kneels down and the clock ticks away.

Is it really true? It is! We are headed back to the Superbowl!!

One thing I like to do when I make it to a big moment in a dynasty is to post the play by play. I will do that here, posting everything drive by drive.

In the Superbowl, we are facing the Dallas Cowboys, who benefited from us so many years ago when we gave them 3 1st round picks for the #1 overall pick used to select Haag.

A very frustrating loss. We shot ourselves in the foot throughout the 2nd half. Still, it was a great playoff run after a rollercoaster regular season.

Despite the SB mistakes, I think Robinson is our QB of the future. I'm pretty sure that Haag will be wearing a different uniform next season.

Too bad on the loss. Looks like some of my games. Either the team comes out on fire to start the 2nd half or comes out flat.
