The world of wrestling in December, 1997

Hot off the heels of the Montreal Screwjob, the landscape of pro wrestling has been changed forever. As WCW continues to surge ahead in the Monday Night ratings, the WWF is treading water, trying to save themselves from drowning. Things seem bleak though, as WWF mainstay Bret Hart left for WCW, but not before being the victim of the biggest screwjob in wrestling history.

Now his only goal is to help sink Vince McMahon and the WWF once in for all.

The question is, will he overcome the ego's and political BS of WCW to see this dream come to fruition?

The promotion rankings:

1. WCW - A Prestige
Size: Global
World Champion: Hulk Hogan
Outlook: Only going to get bigger

2. WWF - A* Prestige
Size: International
World Champion: Shawn Michaels
Outlook: Must find new stars to become a force again

3. NJPW - A Prestige
Size: National
IWGP Champion: Power Warrior
Outlook: Still the King of Japan

4. AJPW - B Prestige
Size: National
AJPW Triple Crown Champion: Mitsuharu Misawa
Outlook: In a similiar position to the WWF, must rely on new stars to come back

5. ECW - D- Prestige
Size: Cult
ECW Champion: Shane Douglas
Outlook: Continue to find ways to grow, must attempt to push new talent as their top guys will be signed away

6. AAA - C+ Prestige
Size: Cult
IWC World Heavyweight Champion: Perro Aguayo
Outlook: Will continue to be the top promotion in Mexico

7. CMLL - B- Prestige
Size: Cult
CMLL World Heavyweight Champion: Steele
Outlook: Has a way to go to overcome AAA as the top promotion, it must evolve to have a chance

8. FMW - D Prestige
Size: Regional
FMW World Brass Knux Champion: Onita
Outlook: The ECW of Japan is a niche promotion, with little chance of becoming more then it is

Those are the big 8 promotions, but we'll spotlight others as they come about.

Pre-Show Dark Match
Mr. Aguila defeated Super Crazy in 7:44 by pinfall (D-)

Pre-Show Dark Match
Ahmed Johnson defeated Andrew Test Martin in 7:44 by pinfall with a Spine buster (D-)

Raw opens up with new WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Triple H coming to the ring to address the events of last nights Survivor Series. HBK takes the mic and says he did everyone a favor getting rid of the biggest crybaby in the business. Triple H adds that without DX, the WWF would be on a one way ticket to bankrupcy.

They promise that before the year is over, they will have rid the WWF of Owen Hart too, so once and for all the WWF can prosper! (C+)

Jeff Jarrett defeated Savio Vega in 12:49 by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock (C-)

Vader defeated TAKA Michinoku in 6:58 by pinfall with a Power Bomb (C)

Backstage the Undertaker is seen staring off into the shadows. He mutters to himself that darkness will once again reign over the WWF (B+)

Commissioner Gorilla Monsoon announces tonight that Steve Austin will take on Rocky Maivia tonight as Monsoon begins his deliberations to determine who the #1 contender is for Shawn Michaels WWF Title (B-)

Rocky Maivia defeated Steve Austin in 13:31 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage (B-)

Backstage we see Gorilla Monsoon walking to his office, when Owen Hart stops him. Gorilla gives Owen his apologies for what happened at Survivor Series, but Owen shrugs it off. He tells Monsoon he wants a match with Michaels at the PPV coming up.

Monsoon tells Owen to prove he deserves it by finding a partner, and defeating DX tonight in the Main Event (C)

Backstage Ahmed Johnson is talking to a few of his colleagues, when out of nowhere Vader comes and blasts him in the skull with a stiff right hook. Vader begins yelling "IT's TIME!" before be shued away by security (C)

Kane defeated Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw in 7:43 by pinfall with a Choke Slam (C-)

A video play hyping the return of Goldust (C+)

New Age Outlaws drew with Headbangers in 8:37 following a double disqualification (D+)

Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock defeated DX in 16:58 when Owen Hart defeated Triple H by submission with a Sharpshooter (B-) Following the match, Chyna distracts Owen long enough for DX to get their bearings. They in turn begin a full fledged assault on Owen and Shamrock, until the faces empty out of the lockerroom for the save. DX escape through the crowd as their music plays and Raw goes black (C+)

Show Rating: C+

Thoughts: Not our best outing, but it is planting the seeds for the logical Owen Hart vs HBK showdown at our December PPV.

Giving away Rocky and Austin early was just a way to jump in to a feud that will give them some history so once both are in the WWF Title hunt, they can have some epic battles.

The plan with Vader is to make him a monster so I can have an epic Undertaker/Vader feud. Speaking of UT, he is going to have another round with Mankind for the time being. I expect some good bouts while I figure out what to do with him.

Goldust is coming back, but it'll be a while. Expect a big push when he is finally back on TV.

- The Ratings are in and Nitro smokes us, drawing an 8.5 to our 3.3. Hopefully next weeks show draws better, as we sign a big main event, featuring Steve Austin defending his WWF Intercontinental Title vs Mankind, plus we'll see Terry Funk take on Triple H, and Owen Hart will be involved in a match to determine the #1 contender.

- We cut ties with a dozen wrestlers. None of them being big names. We just need to thin out the ranks before we start hiring some new guys.

- We have declared war on ECW. I hated to do it, but I wanted to try to get them as my developmental territory. I knew the chances were slim, so this is what I have to deal with. We'll go after a few of their guys but try to keep it civil.

- We manage to get the ECWA to become our developmental territory. With that out of the way, we decide it's time to sign some kids to developmental deals. We offer out Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Rhino, Ace Steel, Chris Daniels and Teddy Hart. We hope to make some headway after Raw.

Pre-show Dark Match
New Age Outlaws and The Godwinns defeated LOD and Headbangers in 15:42 when Billy Gunn defeated Thrasher by pinfall with a Gunn Slinger (D+)

Triple H defeated Terry Funk with a Pedigree (C+)

When Raw comes back from commerical, Gorilla Monsoon is inside the ring. He says tonight he will once and for all determine the #1 contender for the WWF Title, but giving last weeks winners, Jeff Jarrett, Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock a four corners match with the winner getting his match with Shawn Michaels at In Your House! (C+)

This leads to an irate Shawn Michaels hitting the ring to demand Monsoon give him the PPV off after his grueling schedule as of late. Monsoon tells HBK not only is he wrestling at the PPV, but next week he is defending his European Title! (C+)

Vader defeated Ahmed Johnson in 7:56 by pinfall with a Power Bomb (C-) After the match Vader lays into Ahmed Johnson with vicious punches and then gives him one more Vader Bomb for good measure (C+)

Farooq defeated Steve Blackman in 11:15 by pinfall with a Dominator (D+)

Steve Austin is in the back. He says last week vs Rocky was a fluke, and now he is going to take out his frustations on Mankind tonight! (B)

The Undertaker is once again in the shadows of the arena, promising that Mankind has more to worry about then Steve Austin tonight. The Undertaker promises that he will make Mankind pay! (B+)

Steve Austin defeated Mankind in 13:31 by pinfall. Steve Austin makes defence number 1 of his WWF Intercontinental title (C+)

Rocky Maivia is in the back putting over the fact he beat Austin, and tonight be beats three other jabronies before getting his WWF World Title shot vs Shawn Michaels! (B)

Mankind comes out to the ring and says the Undertaker thinks he can play mind games on Mankind? Well think again! A video plays on the Titantron of Paul Bearer tied up in the back, a bloodied, battered mess. Mankind promises that he will finish the job on Bearer and there is nothing the Taker can do about it! (B+)

Owen Hart defeated Ken Shamrock, Jeff Jarrett and Rocky Maivia in 25:24 when Owen Hart defeated Ken Shamrock by submission with a Sharpshooter (A) Having picked up the win, Owen celebrates in the ring, and makes a motion he is coming for HBK's title! (B+)

Show Rating: B -

Thoughts: An awesome main event sets the stage for HBK vs Owen Hart at In Your House. It's obvious Rock and Austin are going to explode, so my hope is to capitalize on that in the undercard first, before making it a main event program.

The European Title match on Raw will feature HBK vs Rocky Maivia, and it's a match I expect will be awesome. The plan is for Rocky to take the title, and build to a Title for Title match with Austin at the Royal Rumble.

Undertaker and Mankind continue with their mind games, and Vader keeps on rolling through people. This should play out nicely.

Anyway, a solid show, saved by an amazing main event, to set the stage for our PPV in two weeks.

- We wake up to good news in the ratings as Raw improves to a 4.14, while Nitro declines to a 7.93. With the buzz around an HBK vs Rocky match on this upcoming Raw we expect to keep moving upwards. Nitro was headlined by a B- match from DDP and The Giant.

- We send down a few guys to developmental, including Test, Scotty Taylor and Brian Christopher. Test and Taylor are sent down to develope skills, while Christopher needs to get back into shape. Truthfully, I also have nothing for him right now, and he's a decent worker, so I want to give him something when he is back.

- We ink a few deals with some youngsters on the Indy scene including, Rhino, Homicide, Adam Copeland, Chris Daniels and Teddy Hart. Once their deals kick in they will report to the ECWA.

Pre-show Dark Match
New Age Outlaws defeated Savio Vega and Ahmed Johnson in 13:49 when Billy Gunn defeated Savio Vega by pinfall with a Gunn Slinger (D+) After the match the Otlaws let the crowd know they're the most dynamic team in the WWF today (C-)

Raw opens up with Shawn Michaels in the ring irate that he has to defend his European Title tonight. Michaels says Monsoon, Owen Hart, Rocky Maivia, or even God himself cannot stop him from stealing the show, and he will do it tonight. But once the night is done, everyone who made his life miserable tonight will get his revenge! (B-)

Kane defeated Flash Funk in 6:31 by pinfall with a Choke Slam (D)

Triple H defeated Marc Mero in 12:39 by pinfall with an Ace Crusher (C+)

Mankind comes out to the ring. He says he has an idea for In Your House, and it involves the Undertaker finally getting what he has coming to him. So at In Your House it'll be Mankind vs Undertaker, Falls Count Anywhere, if Taker has the balls! Mankind begins screeching and pulling his hair out as Raw heads to a commercial (B+)

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler make an annoucement that the following match will determine the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title (B-) Jeff Jarrett defeated Ken Shamrock in 12:53 by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock after blatantly cheating (B) As Jarrett celebrates, the glass shatters, and Steve Austin comes to the ring. Jarrett gets in his face causing Austin to flip him the bird, and deliever a Stunner as the crowd goes wild! (B-)

Mankind defeated Terry Funk in 13:53 by pinfall with a Double Arm DDT (C+) After the match, the lights go dark, and the gong plays. The Undertakers voice is heard throughout the arena. He says "Mankind, your challenge is accepted, and you will rest ... in .. peace" (A-)

Another video airs hyping the return of Goldust. In this video Goldust is inside a seedy theater in Hollywood, where he says "the world has is a terribly dark place, but I am coming back to brighten your days" (B)

Farooq defeated Al Snow in 6:35 by pinfall with a Dominator (D)

A video airs replaying highlights of Owen Hart's win last week to earn a title shot at In Your House (C+)

Rocky Maivia defeated Shawn Michaels in 19:33 by pinfall following interference from Owen Hart. Rocky Maivia wins the WWF European title (B+)

Show Rating: B -

Thoughts: Another solid main event that got the European Title off of HBK, and planted the seeds for the big Rock/Austin encounter.

Mankind and UT continue to deliever, so their first match should be something special as far as I am concerned.

Goldust keeps getting good ratings, so when he comes back he'll be getting a good push.

Austin and Jarrett is thrown together but it'll be worth it. I expect a good, solid match at the PPV.

We have to keep building stars, but we're going to get there, it'll just take time.

- The ratings drop, as we go down to a 3.98, while Nitro soared up to an 8.34, headlined by a six man tag with Chris Benoit, Jim Neidhart and Ray Traylor defeating the nWo consisting of Hogan, Nash and Bret Hart.

- We send down Homicide, Ace Steel and Teddy Hart to ECWA.

- In shocking news, Marc Mero has passed away from a drug overdose.

- We send a couple more guys down to ECWA that we had signed.

- We set a big time 8 man tag match for Raw, as DX, Jeff Jarrett and Mankind will battle Owen Hart, Steve Austin, the Undertaker and Ken Shamrock.

Road Dog defeated TAKA Michinoku in 8:26 by pinfall with a Piledriver (C-)

Triple H comes to the ring, irate that he still doesn't have a match scheduled for In Your House. Gorilla Monsoon appears to say it's funny he says that, because earlier today Ahmed Johnson came to him asking for a match on Sunday, so fate has intervened and Sunday it'll be Triple H vs Ahmed Johnson! (B)

A video airs hyping the history between Undertaker and Mankind. This video is very one sided, as it shows Mankind dominating Undertaker. At the end of the video Mankind screeches "HAVE A NICE DAY!" (B+)

Vader defeated Gangrel in 7:41 by pinfall with a Vader Bomb (D)

Shawn Michaels comes out to the ring to a massive chorus of boos. He looks around the crowd and tells them all to shut up. Kane defeated Terry Funk in 12:07 by pinfall with a Choke Slam (C+)

Rocky Maivia defeated Super Crazy in 11:12 by pinfall. Rocky Maivia makes defence number 1 of his WWF European title (C-)

The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock defeated DX, Jeff Jarrett and Mankind in 26:53 when Owen Hart defeated Shawn Michaels by submission with a Sharpshooter (B) After the match, all 4 man continue to brawl throughout the arena. The last image the crowd sees is Owen Hart standing over Shawn Michaels, holding the WWF Title in the air (B+)

Show Rating: B-

Thoughts: Owen and HBK had cooled off it seemed, but in the final Raw before the PPV they clicked and it should help get people excited for the match.

With 8 main guys being used in the main event, we used this show to put over some other talent and we had got a B - out of it, so I am not too upset. The PPV is shaping up nicely now, with Triple H vs Ahmed Johnson being added, and the Road Warriors vs Outlaws for the tag titles after Animals win tonight.

- The big main event helped us do an impressive 4.66 rating on Monday, but Nitro still had an 8.22. Nitro was headlined by the Outsiders vs Harlem Heat. Now we both go into our PPV's with a wave of momentum. Hopefully our show is able to garner some new fans.

- The buzz for our In Your House PPV looks strong, with every match advanced booked sitting at B heat. Mankind/Undertaker is at an A. That is going to be the second Main Event, so we're hoping for some big things out of those two.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler discuss the Main Event. Ross says to Owen Hart this isn't a match, this is a war (C+) Owen Hart defeated Shawn Michaels in 29:34 by disqualification (A)

Show Rating: B

Show Thoughts: Wow, I loved this show, and expected a better rating, but I won't complain. Every match delievered, and though I expected more from UT/Mankind, I won't be upset as their feud isn't done yet.

Royal Rumble is shaping up awesomely, with Austin vs Rocky in a Unification match, Undertaker vs Mankind round 2, and HBK vs Owen round 2, plus the Rumble itself.

The Outlaws/Road Warriors was a match I didn't expect to be good, so I was pleasantly surprised. Hope to see more from them eventually.

Triple H vs Ahmed was just a way to make HHH look good.

Vader vs Funk was another good match that was used to keep building Vader as a monster.

The others I touched on.

All in all a good, solid show and I can't wait to see what happens next.

- In Your House does a respectable 16.67 buy, which considering it isn't a big PPV historically, I am fine with. Starrcade did a massive 28.07 buy though, which is disconcerting. It was headlined with Hogan vs Davey Boy Smith.

- After the match we start our drug testing after Marc Mero's death. Billy Gunn fails the test and we fine him. A suspension is next.

- The In Your House PPV helped us rise to Global status. Quicker then I thought but I am sure it won't last as we'll take some show hits as we try putting new guys over.

Raw opens up with Vince McMahon strutting to the ring for the first time since the Screwjob at Survivor Series. McMahon says that what happened to Owen Hart was a shame and he feels for him, but too bad he shares DNA with Bret, because that makes Owen a SNAKE! He says Owen was screwed last night, so he will rectify it because Vince is the bigger man, and give Owen a rematch aat the Royal Rumble, but if Owen doesn't win, he will NEVER get a title shot vs Shawn Michaels again! (A)

Gorilla Monsoon comes out, shocked at what Vince has just said. He says he had planned to announce a match between Rocky Maivia and Steve Austin for the Rumble, but Vince decided to steal his thunder. He says he is the commissioner, and he has decided to exert some authority by making Owen vs HBK a Ladder Match! Furthermore, DX will be banned from the building during the match! (B)

Farooq defeated Steve Austin in 12:49 by pinfall with a Dominator following interference from Rocky Maivia (C+)

Triple H defeated TAKA Michinoku in 9:46 by pinfall with an Ace Crusher (C)

Shawn Michaels comes to the ring with Triple H. He says the joke is on Monsoon, because HBK is the King of the Ladder Match, and he doesn't need Triple H's help to beat a jackass like Owen Hart. He warns Monsoon to mind his business though, otherwise he will become the next victim on his hit list (B+)

Ken Shamrock defeated Savio Vega in 10:34 by pinfall with a Belly to Belly Suplex (C+)

Vince McMahon appears again, saying he doesn't like people showing him up, so tonight Owen Hart will be punished for Monsoon's lack of respect, by having to take on the man they call Vader! (B+)

Jeff Jarrett defeated Terry Funk in 13:38 by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock (C+)

The Undertaker appears on the Titantron, demanding a rematch with Mankind at Royal Rumble. This time it'll be fought under his rules. It'll be .. a Casket Match! (B+)

As Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler hype up the next match between the New Age Outlaws and the Legion of Doom, Ross says they have been given word that Billy Gunn was abducted backstage by an unknown assailaint! (B-)

LOD defeated Road Dog in 9:32 when Road Warrior Animal defeated Road Dog by pinfall with a Top Rope Powerslam (C)

Rocky Maivia comes out to the ring and says that he will be taking on Stone Cold at Royal Rumble, but he wants Austin's Intercontinental Title to be on the line. Austin appears on the Titantron, irate that Rock cost him his match vs Farooq tonight. He says Rocky can get his IC Title shot at the Rumble, as long as he puts his European Title on line! Rocky stomps around the ring, upset but he cools down and says "Fine, you have your match you bald headed jabroni!" (B+)

Owen Hart defeated Vader in 11:30 by disqualification after Vader wouldn't break a choke hold (B+) After the match Vader hit a Vader Bomb through the Spanish Announce Table (B+)

Show Rating: B

Thoughts: A lot of angles tonight, as we set the stage for the Rumble. Vince and Monsoon are beginning a power struggle, while we set up our three big matches. I rushed the set ups but it's because I want a few of these programs done by the Rumble so I can then set up for WrestleMania.

The in ring action was good, not great but in the end it balanced out with some excellent promos. Rock and Austin should steal the show, and I suspect Owen and HBK will again have a great match.

Vader continues to deliever and will be rewarded soon with a monster push.

- Our post PPV momentum carries over to Raw as we score an impressive 5.18 rating. Nitro dips a little bit, down to 8.12, but they still have a huge lead over us. Nitro was headlined by Hulk Hogan beating Curt Henning and the Giant in a three way dance.

- Raw has two big matches signed, as Gorilla Monsoon is trying to punish DX by forcing HBK to defend his belt vs Ahmed Johnson, and Triple H is scheduled to take on the Undertaker.

- One of our developmental wrestlers Homicide was apparently arrested. Nothing showed up for me to make a decision over, so it could just be internet heresay.

- Another drug death, this time Rocko Rock from WCW. After this death I test everyone. I give a lot of warnings, but to make a point I fire Tammy Sytch.

- Speaking of developmental, I decide to send Mark Henry down because I have nothing for him, so maybe he can make something of himself there.

- ECWA ran their first show of 1998 with a lot of our guys prominently featured. Homicide & Copeland won the ECWA Tag Titles, Teddy Hart d. Christian Cage, Chris Daniels d. Test, Mark Henry & Ace Steel d. Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor, and Glenn Osbourne d. Bart Gunn.

He screeches that he will not be scared, he will not be intimidated! With that, he bursts out of the coffin and says if he has to sleep here until Royal Rumble, he will, but he will not be afraid! He promises he is ready, and that the Undertaker must believe that he is facing an enemy that will not be intimidated. Mankind jumps back into the casket, slamming the lid shut as Raw goes off air (A)

Show Rating: B -

Thoughts: A good progession to the Rumble. Mankind is a stud, and Undertaker can really do no wrong. I look forward to their Casket Match.

Owen and HBK continue to get great ratings. I suspect this will be the blowoff to their feud for now, so I hope they deliever.

Everything else was solid. Some guys will be used more next week as we do Royal Rumble preview matches.

- The Raw rating continues to improve, as we score a 5.30. Nitro, headlined by The Giant and Sting vs Buff Bagwell and Randy Savage did a 7.98. We're getting closer, but we have a long ways to go.

- WCW makes two big signings, grabbing Sid Vicious and Bam Bam Bigelow from ECW. We decide to make a few offers ourselves, as we're being told we need more stars. These guys aren't stars, but a few of them I know I can make into stars.

- We book a few matches for Raw, with Owen Hart taking on Jeff Jarrett, Ken Shamrock battling Steve Austin and Vader vs Ahmed Johnson. All are people involved in the Rumble, except for Owen who needs a match in preperation for his match vs Michaels.

- The drug deaths just won't stop, as Jerry Saggs of the WCW and Nasty Boys fame has died from an OD. We'll give another test after the Rumble.

- Raw once again does a strong rating, with a 5.47, while Nitro slips a little with a 7.93, headlined by an excellent Davey Boy Smith vs Bret Hart match. Hopefully this momentum continues into the Rumble.

- Vader and Steve Austin test positive for soft drug use. I give them a slap on the wrist. If it keeps up we may have to do something drastic.

- Terry Funk is retiring at the end of the month.

- OMEGA, an indy promotion owned by Matt & Jeff Hardy is teetering on the brink of extinction so we inquired about buying them out.

- Raw drops a bit, with a 5.38 rating, but Nitro also dropped, this time to a 7.70, headlined by Lex Luger beating Curt Hennig.

- We hear back from Omega. They are in such debt that they agree to the takeover, so we pillage their roster of their better young talent, like Steve Corino, Joey Matthews and a few others, and then disband the promotion.

- We sign the guys we bring over to written deals and send them to the ECWA. Slowly but surely ECWA is stockpiling some solid talent.

- ECW holds their House Party PPV, with a decent .26 buy for the company. It was headlined by Shane Douglas retaining his ECW World Title vs RVD, Chris Candido and the Sandman in a fatal fourway match.

- Rumors are buzzing Ric Flair will leave WCW when his contract is up. If so I will make sure to do whatever it takes to sign him. Flair vs HBK just screams at me as a money match.

Appreciate it. TEW 08 can be maddening at times but it's a blast. It definetly is as close to EWR as it can get as far as fun.

I plan on getting more in depth with this, but I just wanted to get focusing on Mania, where my biggest ideas lie ahead. Hopefully it works out because I like some of the booking so far, but some of it is too forced, which I plan on fixing.

- The Royal Rumble did a 17.46 buy, which is less then I thought, but respectable. WCW Sould Out garnered a 23.71 headlined by Hulk Hogan defending his title vs Rick Steiner.

- We fine Thrasher for steroid use. He understands the punishment and promises to clean up his act.

- We enter into negioiations with Ric Flair and Sean Waltman, both of which are in their final month with WCW. Both would be huge additions for us.

- We also talk to a few TV Networks about the possibility of adding a second show.

- Raw does a 5.13 rating, which is disappointing but it was my own fault as I forgot to Advance Book any matches. Nitro also did a lower number then last week, with a 7.24, headlined by Hogan vs Rick Steiner in a rematch for the World Title.

- Shawn Michaels got into a heated argument with a WWF official last night. We warn him but he has the leverage as of now. If it continues then we'll have to be harsh.

- WWF is proud to announce the signings of Ric Flair and Sean Waltman! They will be unavailable for the next month but we can't wait to get them going.

- Michael Cole has left WWF.

- We agree to a 2 year deal with Fox for a new show called WWF Smackdown. It'll air late Friday Night on Fox. It'll be an hour and a half long. The hope is to build stars up with this show.

- Raw hits another drop, with a 4.65. Obviously the Main Event was nothing much on paper, so we'll make sure to make this post No Way Out Raw one to remember. Nitro improved to a 7.05 headlined by Booker T vs the Giant.

- We resign Steve Austin to a pricey raise, ensuring that he'll become a top star in the WWF. It was the main thing keeping him from winning the Rumble, not knowing if I could lock him up.

- We have a new ECW World Champion as Sabu defeated Shane Douglas, Taz and Ian Rotten in a four way match on an episode of Hardcore TV.

- No Way Out did a 14.09 buy, down from Royal Rumble. We have to fix this problem, but with Mania around the corner, we know it is fixable. WCW SuperBrawl does a 22.08, headlined by the Outsiders vs Bret Hart & Davey Boy Smith.

- We make two matches for Raw, with The Undertaker & Austin & Funk taking on HHH & The Outlaws, plus Rocky Maivia vs Kane. Then for the debut of Smackdown, we give the new viewers a big main event, as Shawn Michaels defends his title vs Kane.

The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Terry Funk defeated Triple H and New Age Outlaws in 24:03 when The Undertaker defeated Billy Gunn by pinfall with a Choke Slam (B) After the match, HBK, who had filled in to do some color commentary, says that effective right now, he has 50,000 dollar bounty on the head of The Undertaker for whoever will take him out of WrestleMania! - Raw took a huge hit in the ratings, with a 3.46. Meanwhile, WCW fell even further with a 5.92, headlined by Davey Boy Smith vs The Giant.

- We read the riot act to Savio Vega and Road Warrior Hawk for their steroid use.

- Smackdown did a 1.83 for the debut. Decent considering it's on late night on Friday. We hope to get in the 2's and stay there for a while.

- ECWA had their monthly show, and Matt Hardy was named MVP, getting a C- match out of Glen Osbourne. He is probably going to be called up after Mania.

- Shawn Michaels is named the best overall worker in the world today.

- Ratings across the board keep falling, as Raw is down to a 3.45, while Nitro, headlined by an amazing Bret Hart vs Sting match only drew a 5.21.

Booking Ideas

Just going to put a few ideas down here for my own benefit but feel free to give some advice or ideas as well.

- Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are going to become the Suicide Blondes and be managed by Jim Cornette. I have Corney just sitting there and he can be an excellent mouth piece for these two while they develope.

- Gangrel will get Paul Bearer as a manager, as Bearer was voted online as the best manager in the business.

- Ric Flair's debut is going to be a hot topic until Mania. I have three ideas, all of which are totally different and I like them all just the same. We'll see as I get closer.

- Owen Hart is staying off TV a while. I'm possibly repackaging him, but regardless I'll send him to ECWA to train some guys to get some use from him.

If anyone wants to create a wrestler, let me know. I'll put them in whatever fed you want on a written deal, minus WWF or WCW. Just give me a name, a few finishers, some strengths and weaknesses and a wrestler comparison and I'll do it for you.

A Look at the Wrestling World

WCW: Still the kings, but aside from the last Nitro, which drew a B+, their shows have been down right awful lately. Hogan is main eventing all the time, as he should, but they have him fight mid carders who can't carry matches, like Ray Traylor and the Boogie Man, so it's hurting their shows.

Their popularity has fallen off some, but all over the World, their worst rating is still only a B-, so they're still doing something right.

A look at their champions:

WCW World Champion (A): Hulk Hogan (5 defenses)
WCW United States Champion (C-): Curt Hennig (6 defenses)
WCW Tag Team Champions: (C) The Steiner Brothers (4 defenses)
WCW Television Champion: (E-) Perry Saturn (4 defenses)
WCW Cruiserweight Champion: (D-) Eddy Gurrero (6 defenses)

ECW: ECW is still D prestige, and at cult status, but for what they are, and the talent they've lost, it's an amazing thing. Besides losing the Dudleys and Justin Credible, they also lost Lance Storm to AJPW and Kid Kash left walking. The only guy they've signed is Shane Helms.

A look at their champions

ECW World Champion (B+): Sabu [1 defense]
ECW Television Title (C+): Taz [9 defenses]
ECW Tag Team Champions (D): Bad Breed [1 defense]

- Smackdown rose to a 2.00 on Fox, which I am happy with.

- An internet report says Test is destined for big things. Interesting to say the least.
