Excel - Moving/Copying Sheets program issue

Weird issue. If I go to move or copy a worksheet to another workbook that is open, the other workbook isn't showing up as an option, only "new book" shows up as an option.

Thoughts? Solutions? Reinstall/Repair MS Office?

Is the one you're trying to move to read-only or otherwise protected?

I have this sometimes, and this may not be your problem, but this is how I fixed my problem. Close the 2nd workbook down and re-open using the Open function in Excel with the first workbook open instead of double-clicking on the file so that they are both open in the same working copy of Excel.

yeah, what he said. What happens sometimes is that your two sheets are open in two instances of Excel while they need to be in the same instance for the copy/move to work properly. Reopening insures that you are in the same instance of Excel for both sheets.

Aaah. That's probably what it is, yeah. I'm big on opening them in separate instances of Excel so I can have them open on two screens and all.
