IWS #171 Results
Stupid refuses to take an exorbitant amount of time flexing in front of the mirror in his wifebeater and Zubas. No, instead these results have been tallied and posted on the kind of schedule that even Victor Conte could appreciate.
1.) Name the most surprising steroid user of the last 30 years. Stupid is shocked by baseball players, but finds the PED use of football players, runners, and cyclists blase. And apparently Stupid follow the Yankees closely: 5 - Alex Rodriguez 4 - Roger Clemens 3 - Mark McGwire 3 - Andy Pettite 1 - Marion Jones, Ryan Franklin, Rick Ankiel, Rafael Palmeiro, Wally Joyner, and Pumpy Tudors 2.) Name the next steroid-linked baseball player to be admitted into the Hall of Fame. Only three candidates appeared on ballots, with one getting over 50% of the vote. And it was not the one in the news last week. 11 - Barry Bonds 5 - Mark McGwire 5 - Roger Clemens 3.) What percentage of football players do you believe have used steroids at some point during their NFL career? This was the one question I immediately regretted after posting, figuring that stupid would immediately go with 50% and not look back. While that was the "right" answer it was not quite as big a margin of victory as I expected to see. 7 - 50% 4 - 75% 2 - 100% 2 - 25% 1 - 90, 30, 99, 80, 70, 35 4.) The cream or the clear? The power of "first listed" prevailed by a narrow margin. 11 - Cream 9 - Clear 1 - HGH 5.) In what sport do steroids provide the least value? Despite a pretty wide spread, there was a clear right answer here judging by the fact that the top three overall scorers all paid attention to my FOFC handle. 6 - Basketball 3 - Golf 2 - Curling 2 - NASCAR 1 - Poker, Soccer, Fishing, Baseketball, Baseball, Chess, Hockey, Bowling 6.) What college or pro coach do you suspect might be sneaking steroids on the side? Stupid struggled with the open-ended nature of this question, but overall went with the guy in the news as the "best" answer. 4 - Lane Kiffen 3 - Bill Belichek 2 - Pete Carroll 2 - Bobby Knight 2 - Jack Del Rio 1 - Tom Cable, Joe Girardi, Mike Stoops, Phil Jackson, Urban Meyer, Bruce Pearl, John Harbaugh, Ed Orgeron And the results: Pathetic Weaklings: SackAttack 77 Claphamsa 99 Flexing in Bathroom Mirror: Dodgerchick 110 MizzouRah 270 Denial of Freedom 270 flere-imsaho 330 Hey, Can I Get a Spot?: PurdueBrad 594 jbergey22 900 Airhog 1155 General Mike 1936 nilodor 2376 Only Using for Recovery: MIJB#19 5940 EagleFan 8712 KWhit 9240 chesapeake 11616 Karlifornia 13860 Chicks Dig the Longball: Raiders Army 16632 Abe Sargent 18480 Sublime 23760 Likely to be Named in Canseco's Next Book: CU Tiger 28350 Future Governor: cmp 29040 Last edited by hoopsguy : 01-20-2010 at 09:35 AM. Im pretty sure I had nascar too... maybe i changed at the last min....
I dont get people thinking only 50% of NFL players. I was 99.... and you would REALLY have to sell me on it being that low.

AH - oops. Had written down the right name in spreadsheet but brain-locked when typing it here. I'll update post #1 to reflect the correct Stoops.

I totally expected Mark McGwire to sweep questions 1 and 2 and should have known better for question 3 to go with 50% over 100%. Then still, that was a much better result than I expected. I totally owned SackAttack, it seems.

Wait, it's been less than a month since you posted the questions. Is there a paradigm shift that I missed?

I'm going to have to pass over IWS #172 over to CU Tiger. I'm going to be gone for week for two weeks so we would never get the next one done if I were to do it.
