Fighter Boys
On a trip to Borders about a week ago I encountered a book called Fighter Boys. Its about a neglected part of WWII, The battle of Britain. and the brave boys who flew the mission to stop German Air Raids. It was a fast and enjoyable read. Finished the book in about 5 days. Its a real enjoyable and detailed account of what it was like during those weeks of terror. I commend the author for writting about the often neglected fighter pilots.

Here is another good one about the Battle of Britain, although the pilot is British:
Fly For Your Life. If you want to read it and can't find a copy, I'll send you mine. |

Yes, to Americans The Battle of Britain (though a pivotal point of the war) is pretty much neglected in books and on the tele.
