Talking My wife cracks me up...

OK, so one of the kids who SWMBO and I were close to has gone off to college this fall (Actually it is the girl who took several of the photos for my CD, Sarah). Sarah was trying to send an e-mail to Jen and me updating us on what is going on with her as classes are about to start, but the e-mail wouldn't go through to Jen's address for some reason, so she sent it to just me this morning to be forwarded to Jen. It was a very long e-mail, updating us on everything from her impression of her roommates, her excitement about finding a good church, her major, her classes, her excitement about a new relationship with a guy, etc. etc. etc. You get the point, this is a girl we care about a lot, and it was WONDERFUL to read all the news. One thing was somewhat, errrrr, *disturbing*, though. Here's the relevant portion of the e-mail:
Quote:
I am taking this animal science class and for the lab we are going to be working with all these cows and horses and sheep and I don't know how well I am going to handle that!!! They smell and drool and pee everywhere!!! Uck!!!! Worst of all, I am going to have to stick my hand up a cow's butt!!! GROOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not too excited about that!!! Icky!!!
Jen had an out-of-the-office appointment this morning, and she just got to the office a few minutes ago. I just received the following e-mail from her. Here it is in its entirety:
Quote:

Subject: Re: FW: update...

The first thought after reading Sarah's email is that my guess is the cow will dislike that whole experience a lot more than Sarah.

Nah, I had a friend in High School who wanted to be a vet. She went to Berry for her undergrad, UGA for Vet school. I talked to her a few times while she was at Berry and she told me about her animal science class. That's one of those things that just kinda sticks with ya.

Actually, several people from my high school and youth group at church went to Berry, so I'm somewhat familiar with it.

That was the night time entertainment at Berry.. going over to the farms and going cowtipping... Anyhows one of the things about Berry college (other than how pretty of a college it is building wise) is the fact there is a huge cow farm right in the middle of it..

So your saying you WANT someone to shove their fist up your butt? Oh, wait. I know. You want them to pull out that trout in your rectum.

For those that have not seen it, parts of Remember the Titans was filmed at berry College (The pretty campus they stayed at for a while.)

On a slight tangent, other parts of that movie was filmed at my old rival highschool's football field (Sprayberry HS) in marietta.

...and the outside-of-the-school shots (like the parent protests) were fimed at Druid Hills High School, right near me.

Lassiter HS grad. When I go back to visit family though, I see all these new schools opened in the area, I am guessing Lassiter - Sprayberry might be less of a big deal now than it was back then.

Yeah, I remember when Lassiter opened. At the time I was stunned that they were building another high school right down the road from Sprayberry. It seemed silly to me. Now I think they've added (or are adding) another one in that same area. Meanwhile, down in south Cobb, they closed Wills and merged it with Campbell. There went OUR rivalry.

I imagine the Lassiter-Sprayberry rivalry is still there just because they are so close, but probably not as much as when Lassiter first opened. Sprayberry hasn't been as competitive as they used to be, I don't think.

I just noticed this item appears right above "Poker Feedback" in the forum right now (or did, before this post).

Brings new meaning to the term "Texas Hold 'em," doesn't it?
