The Blue Sky Conference (FBCB Dynasty)

What I've done is, using version 1.1.0 of Fast Break College Basketball on my laptop (I'm having problems with 1.1.1 on my new desktop), I've created a new conference called the Blue Sky Conference that's made up of really crappy teams from the southeastern area of the US (the two highest prestige teams at the start were tied at 9) and then created 10 Level 0 human coaches, assigning each coach to a team.

I've also set conference prestige updates due to teams performance, so it'll be interesting seeing how things go.

The first two seasons are already complete, so I'll be posting data from them bit by bit until I get caught up to the third season that I'm presently in.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy this

The schools:

Birmingham Southern
Charleston Southern
Eastern Kentucky
Florida A&M
Gardner Webb
Liberty
Morris Brown
Savannah State
Southeastern Louisiana
William & Mary

2000 Conference Previews Birmingham Southern Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Curtis Bogan (Rec:80 Scout:6 Off:7 Def:7) Recruiting: Ambrose Tran (35) Scouting: Anthony Vierra (35) Assistant: Marc Savino (Off:31 Def:36) Starters: C Jr Sean Reed PF Sr Justin Furr SF Sr Quentin Nelson SG Jr Kenneth Arzola PG Jr Paul Roche Preview: 0 pace, 3 motion, 0 3point with 2-3 zone D. Experienced starting five with an outside shooting attack. Roche will be the primary option of offense. Despite the talent and the veteran squad, midpack at best thanks to poor coaching. Charleston Southern: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Matt Binetti (Rec:40 Scout:6 Off:27 Def:27) Recruiting: Ariel Shaw (35) Scouting: Gary Jones (35) Assistant: Jacques Ellis (Off:56 Def:12) Starters: C Jr Orlando McQueen PF So Tony Layman SF Sr Blake Diehl SG Sr John Durham PG Jr John Lincoln Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with man D. Expected to win the conference by the school and well coached enough to succeed. The talent is suspect, however as a composite, meaning the champion may be another team. Eastern Kentucky: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Tim Moungey (Rec:20 Scout:20 Off:10 Def:50) Recruiting: Billie Adams (35) Scouting: Arthur Benton (34) Assistant: William Bourg (Off:54 Def:16) Starters: C Jr Jorge Dittmer PF Sr Gerald Anderson SF Jr Jeffery Kuhns SG So Ronald Shields PG Fr Preston Hagar Preview: 1 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with man D. Possibly the most well-coached team in the conference but with little in the way of talent. Florida A&M: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Dave Johnson (Rec:60 Scout:10 Off:15 Def:15) Recruit: Bryan Reddy (35) Scout: Daniel Cox (35) Assistant: Charles Monti (Off:64 Def:6) Starters: C Sr Chus Morales PF Fr Terrence Toy SF So Kraig Romeo SG Jr Jack Faria PG Jr Benigno Soto Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with Matchup Zone D. Interior focused offense and expected to finish .500. May be difficult with Romeo and Toy not having much wind, but this team will be scary next year if they land Florida's Mr. Basketball as expected. Gardener-Webb Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Marty Danzer (Rec:0 Scout:80 Off:20 Def:0) Recruiting: Chris Durfee (35) Scout: Phil Davis (34) Assistant: Albert Townes (Off:2 Def:61) Starters: C Jr Wilton Pendleton PF Jr Chris Gladney SF Sr David Young SG Sr Rusty Christner PG So Kent Roberts Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3 point with matchup zone D. Christner will be the main ballhandler and it will be up to him just how far this team goes. They may well be able to avoid the cellar because of him. Liberty: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Mike Wilson (Rec:10 Scout:10 Off:40 Def:40) Recruiting: Eugene Ramos (35) Scout: Grant Alvarez (35) Assistant: Columbus Porter (Off:60 Def:4) Starters: C Jr Steven Burg PF So Richard Melcher SF Jr Timothy Baldwin SG So Desmond Rheinhart PG Sr Michael Byrd Preview: 0 pace, 5 motion, 5 3 point with man D. An exceptional ballhandling and 3-point shooting team as far as conference standards go and well-coached. Expected to compete for the conference championship and they will. Morris Brown: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Josh Martin (Rec:10 Scout:30 Off:30 Def:30) Recruit: Frank Jessee (35) Scout: Julian Weiler (34) Assistant: Charles Goad (Off:13 Def:55) Starters: C So Jake McCandless PF Sr Gregory Funkhouser SF Jr Milford Van Dyke SG Sr Darin Spradling PG Sr Felicien Motte Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with 2-1-2 zone D. As Motte goes, so do the Wolverines, who will focus their offense entirely around him. Savannah State: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Steve Thorn (Rec:10 Scout:60 Off:15 Def:15) Recruit: Kevin Maggard (35) Scout: James Holbert (34) Assistant: Larry Tarango (Off:29 Def:36) Starters: C Jr Shaun Fetter PF So Ross Rivera SF Sr Douglas Croteau SG Jr Thomas Joseph PG So David Haynes Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with man D. Inside focused shooting team with Fetter the vital point of the offense. Expected to finish .500 in conference, it'll be tough with a poor coaching staff on this 0 prestige team. Southeastern Louisiana: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Mike Holtdorf (Rec:10 Scout:0 Off:45 Def:45) Recruit: Joseph Straka (35) Scout: Rodney Martino (35) Assistant: Jamar Nicholson (Off:40 Def:26) Starters: C Jr Arthur Baron PF Jr Gerald Lee SF Jr Lawrence Soukup SG Sr Dewayne Smith PG Sr Yannick Cornu Preview: 0 pace, 4 motion, 0 3point with man D. Lee, Cornu , and Smith will form a three-pronged attack for this team that thanks to the superior talent and coaching will probably run away with the conference title, even though the only expectation is to compete. William & Mary: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Nick Bryant (Rec:25 Scout:25 Off:25 Def:25) Recruit: Judson Thomas (35) Scout: Bill Gonzalez (34) Assistant: Elvis McGruder (Off:36 Def:34) Starters: C Sr Antone Risner PF Sr Angel Escobar SF Jr Waylon Hall SG Fr Preston Spears PG So Eddie Rives Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3point with man D. Inside focused shooting that will rely on freshman Spears to be the main man. Dangerous proposition, but an intriguing one. Predicted Order of Finish: 1.Southeastern Louisiana 2.Liberty 3.Charleston Southern 4.Birmingham Southern 5.William & Mary 6.Florida A&M 7.Savannah State 8.Morris Brown 9.Gardener-Webb 10.Eastern Kentucky Predicted Coach of the Year: Mike Holtdorf (SEL) Predicted Player of the Year: Felicien Motte (MB)

Does anybody have any ideas on how to better fix this coding? It's giving me a headache trying to go back and re-edit everything and it's falsely inflating my views every time I try and edit the fucking thing so I have no idea how many people are reading

Okay, before I give myself a headache fighting with more of the code function, I'll just ask...

Are people out there interested in this type of dynasty?

Call me a masochist, but I've decided to slog ahead... Here are the first season's pertinent NCAA results that I could gain after advancing past the first season without writing it down

2000 NCAA Tournament Final Four Results:

Duke defeats Florida
Kansas defeats Syracuse

2000 NCAA Championship Game Result:

Duke beats Kansas 101-85 to finish with a staggering 39-2 record!

2000 NIT Champion:
Auburn

Oh and a note I just have to add since I forgot to put it the recruiting results...

PG Demetrius Yuan, the Florida Mr. Basketball who had Florida A&M his #1 for ages and who was still being recruited hardcore as he'd be a major coup for the Rattlers....

signed with his #2 school, Florida Atlantic.

I was really heartbroken for Florida A&M and for the conference when I saw that email.

He was that damn good that he would have instantly turned the Rattlers into a powerhouse within the conference.

In fact, I'll probably track his stats from season to season at Florida Atlantic simply because of how phenomenal he is and the "Might-Have-Been" factor.

Not that I can blame him for signing with the Owls. They were a higher prestige team than Florida A&M and are competing in the Atlantic Sun, which is a 2 prestige conference at the moment as opposed to the crappy 1 prestige Blue Sky.

2001 Conference Preview Birmingham Southern: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Curtis Bogan (11-19, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruiting: Eli Bowling (36) Scout: Anthony Vierra (2nd year at Birmingham Southern) Assistant: Marc Savino (2nd year at Birmingham Southern) Starters: C Sr Sean Reed* PF Fr Stephen Shore SF Fr Alfonso Pena SG Sr Kenneth Arzola* (Blue Sky All-Conference 2nd Team) PG Sr Paul Roche* Preview: 0 pace, 2 motion, 0 3point, 2-3 zone D. One of quite a few surprises in the Blue Sky last season, the Panthers return 3 of 5 starters, including All-Conference 2nd Team SG Kenneth Arzola. Could do some good things this season. Reed and Roche are expected to be the key ballhandlers. Charleston Southern: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Matt Binetti (Blue Sky Conference Coach of the Year, 16-14, 1 Conf Champ, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Ariel Shaw (2nd year at Charleston Southern) Scout: Hunter Alvarez (32) Assistant: Jacques Ellis (2nd year at Charleston Southern) Starters: C Sr Orlando McQueen* (Blue Sky All-Conference 1st Team) PF Jr Tony Layman* SF Jr Abel Hammock SG Fr OrvilleWhitmore PG Sr John Lincoln* Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3-point, man D. Last year's conference champs also return 3 of 5 starters, key of which is McQueen, an All-Conference 1st team selection. Look for Charleston Southern to battle well to have a shot at winning the title again. Eastern Kentucky: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Tim Moungey (15-17, 0 Conf Champs, 1 NCAA App, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Billie Adams (2nd year at Eastern Kentucky) Scout: Arthur Benton (2nd year at Eastern Kentucky) Assistant: Columbus Porter (At Liberty last season) Starters: C So German Crawford PF Sr Brent Sanders SF Sr Jeffery Kuhns* (Blue Sky All-Conference 2nd Team) SG Jr Ronald Shields* (Blue Sky All-Conference 2nd Team) PG So Preston Hagar* (Blue Sky Freshman All-Conference) Preview: 4 pace, 0 motion, 0 3-point with man D. Easily the biggest surprise of the conference last season with the unexpected NCAA play-in game appearance and the 2nd place finish in conference. Though officially only returning 3 starters, count it as 4 since Crawford is a major upgrade over Jorge of last year. Still arguably the best-coached team in the Blue Sky, they could be near the top again with their improvements and All-Conference players Kuhns, Shields, and Hagar another year older. Hiring Porter after Liberty fired him was a curious move. Florida A&M: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Dave Johnson (10-19, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Kenneth Salley (36) Scout: Anthony Rose (27) Assistant: James Peres (Off:49 Def:10) Starters: C So Dwight Faust PF So Terrence Toy* (Blue Sky Freshman All-Conference) SF Jr Kraig Romeo* SG Sr Jack Faria* PG Fr Armando Farmer Preview:0 pace, 0 motion, 0 motion with matchup zone D. Rattlers were a snakebitten team as they fell apart down the stretch after losing Florida's Mr. Basketball Demetrius Yuan, to Florida Atlantic. The staff is worse this year for the most part as well. Look for them to finish near the bottom of the conference, even with 3 returning starters, including Frosh All-Conf Toy. Hope will come next season in the form of preseason commit High School All-American PG Mike Cash out of Key West, FL. Gardner Webb: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Marty Danzer (9-19, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Chris Durfee (2nd year at Gardner Webb) Scout: Charles Cole (41) Assistant: Albert Townes (2nd year at Gardner Webb) Starters: C Sr Wilton Pendleton* PF Jr Daryl Emmett (Juco Transfer) SF Sr David Billiot SG Fr Sammy Coons PG Jr Kent Roberts* Preview: 2 pace, 1 motion, 0 3-point with matchup zone D. The first team to return less than 3 starters, GW only comes back with 2 after doing better than the school's expectations last season. Junior college transfer Emmett becomes the focal point of the offense, but don't look for them to improve beyond last season's finish. Liberty: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Mike Wilson (11-20, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Eugene Ramos (2nd year at Liberty) Scout: Bryce Mclaughlin (38) Assistant: Michael Reyes (Off:8 Def:61) Starters: C Sr Steven Burg* PF Fr James Riley SF Sr Timothy Baldwin* SG Jr Desmond Rhinehart* PG Jr Marino Agnelo Preview: 0 pace, 3 motion, 0 3 point with man D. Expected to make a run for the conference title last year, the Flames burnt out, failing to even finish .500 in conference. While the coaching has improved immensely and the talented level is upgraded, this is still not one of the top teams in the conference. Expect the boobirds already calling for Wilson's head to grow in number. Morris Brown: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Josh Martin (9-20, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Frank Jessee (2nd year at Morris Brown) Scout: Julian Weiler (2nd year at Morris Brown) Assistant: Ivan Lovelady (Off:12 Def:55) Starters: C Jr Jake McCandless* PF Sr William Durham SF Sr Milford Van Dyke* SG So Tony Eveland PG Fr Julius Mangan Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3 point with 2-1-2 zone D. Competitive last season, the Wolverines look to take a huge hit this year with the loss of Blue Sky Conference Player of the Year Felicien Motte to graduation. Eveland is no Motte, though he's slated to replace him in the Morris Brown attack. Savannah State: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Steve Thorn (10-20, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Kevin Maggard (2nd year at Savannah State) Scout: James Holbert (2nd year at Savannah State) Assistant: Larry Tarango (2nd year at Savannah State) Starters: C Sr Kevin Johnston PF Jr Ross Rivera* SF Sr Thomas Joseph* (Blue Sky All-Conference 1st Team) SG Fr Isidro Musick PG Fr Hank Lopez Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3-point with man D. Return just two starters, but one of those is Joseph, an All-Conference First Team pick last year, albeit in a new position over at SF to make room for relative frosh phenom Musick. Lopez at PG over the much more heralded Bobby Wells, who is being redshirted, was a surprise to some. The Tigers are the first team thus far profiled to retain the same entire staff from last year. Johnston will be the key focus, though the greater sign of how Savannah State does will be how Joseph adjusts to his new position and how well the freshmen starters do. Southeastern Louisiana: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Mike Holtdorf (14-17, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Joseph Straka (2nd year at Southeastern Louisiana) Scout: Rodney Martino (2nd year at Southeastern Louisiana) Assistant: Jamar Nicholson (2nd year at Southeastern Louisiana) Starters: C Sr Arthur Baron* PF Sr Gerald Lee* (Blue Sky All-Conference First Team) SF Sr Lawerence Soukup* (Blue Sky All-Conference First Team) SG Fr Frederick Billingsley PG Fr Sterling Brotherton Preview: 7 pace, 2 motion, 0 3 point with man D. After last year's meltdown, the offense this year will focus solely on Lee, one of two returning starters who were All-Conferece First Team selections last year. Despite the implosion of the past season when they were expect to run away with the title, Southeastern Louisiana looks to challenge for the crown this year, though with an all-frosh backcourt that will be easier said than done, even given the retention of all the staff, though Nicholson's staying was a surprise to many, who expected him to be fired. William & Mary: Coaching Staff: Head Coach: Nick Bryant (8-20, 0 Conf Champs, 0 NCAA Apps, 0 Coach of the Year, 0 All-Americans) Recruit: Judson Thomas (2nd year at William & Mary) Scout: Bill Gonzalez (2nd year at William & Mary) Assistant: John Daniels (Off:5 Def:57) Starters: C Fr Karsten Bufler PF Fr Frederick Steadman SF Sr Waylon Hall* SG So Preston Spears* (Blue Sky Freshman of the Year, Freshman All-Conference) PG Jr Eddie Rives* Preview: 0 pace, 0 motion, 0 3 point with man D. After freefalling all the way to the bottom of the conference last season, fans of the Tribe have to be wondering what's going on. All-frosh frontcourt, but the team's had luck with freshmen starters in its short past, as Spears last season was the Blue Sky Freshman of the Year and will once more be the focal point of the offense. That, 3 starters, and an improve staff should be enough to prevent them from another last place finish. Predicted Order of Finish: 1.Eastern Kentucky 2.Charleston Southern 3.Southeastern Louisiana 4.Birmingham Southern 5.Liberty 6.Savannah State 7.William & Mary 8.Gardner Webb 9.Morris Brown 10.Florida A&M Predicted Coach of the Year: Tim Moungey Eastern Kentucky Predicted Player of the Year: Orlando McQueen Charleston Southern Predicted Freshman of the Year: Isidro Musick Savannah State

Oh and in case it isn't obvious a * by the player's name means they're a returning starter

Notes: the + or - in parantheses after each prestige is the change in prestige from last season.

Starting with the third season, you'll see two + or - numbers after each current prestige. The first one will be the change in prestige from last season and the second one will be the overall change in prestige from the very beginning.

This will give a true sense of the general progression of the teams, I think

Wow, Southeastern Louisiana did what I expected them to last season. Their freshmen backcourt tandem was absolutely phenomenal, though PG Sterling Brotherton was unfortunately out for about 2 and 1/2 months with an ankle injury.

Had he been able to play the whole season, he might have beaten out Lopez for the PG All-Freshman spot. Isidro Musick, Lopez's Savannah State teammate and the preseason favourite to win Freshman of the Year for the conference also had a solid season. Pretty nice freshmen performances all around... and a hell of a lot better than last season's.

I'm kind of glad Charleston Southern won the tournamen this year, since they got robbed last year.

Next season doesn't look too hot for Southeastern Louisiana at the moment though, as they're losing two seniors to graduation who were both 2-time selections to the Blue Sky All-Conference First Team.

Oh, I forgot to include in the Conference Preview post....

Matt Binetti of Charleston Southern went up to Level 1 last year after winning Blue Sky Coach of the Year and having his team be the conference champs, so his new stats are:

Recruiting:50
Scouting:10
Offense:30
Defense:30

2001 Blue Sky Conference Leaders:

Points:

12.0 Sr SF Lawrence Soukop Southeastern Louisiana
11.9 Jr SG Ronald Shields Eastern Kentucky
11.2 Jr SF Abel Hammock Charleston Southern
10.5 Sr SG Kenneth Arzola Birmingham Southern
10.2 So SG Preston Spears William & Mary

No one else was in double figures, sadly enough. It's interesting to note that all of these guys are either SG or SF and pleasing to see that only two of them are seniors, which means the rest will come back since I've decided not to allow people to graduate early since that's always been my preference.

Rebounds:

7.4 Sr C Wilton Pendleton Gardner Webb
6.9 Sr C Orlando McQueen Charleston Southern
6.7 Jr PF Tony Layman Charleston Southern
6.7 Sr C Kevin Johnston Savannah State
6.3 So C German Crawford Eastern Kentucky

Disappointing numbers here as not even one single person came remotely close to double figures. Also sad to note is that only two of these guys aren't seniors, though on the bright side one is a sophomore so hopefully he'll improve. Also looking at this, it seems as though rebounding was a key part of Charleston Southern's success this season.

Assists:

4.2 Jr PG Mario Agnelo Liberty
3.7 Sr PG John Lincoln Charleston Southern
2.9 Fr PG Sterling Brotherton Southeastern Louisiana
2.8 So PG Preston Hagar Eastern Kentucky
2.7 Sr PG Paul Roche Birmingham Southern

Agnelo's significant conference lead in assists is a large part of why he won the Blue Sky Player of the Year award, though I'd argue that somebody else was more deserving. Still, no real standout players in the conference this year. It's nice to know that Agnelo will be back and hopefully Brotherton will continue to improve. Like I said, if Brotherton wasn't out for 2 and 1/2 months with that injury, Southeastern Louisiana would have been even scarier this season.

Steals:

1.4 So PG Preston Hagar Eastern Kentucky
1.3 Sr SF Lawrence Soukop Southeastern Louisiana
A bunch of players at 1.2

No real distinguishing leaders here, though perhaps that should be expected for this stat.. I'm not certain. We'll see as we chart it through other seasons.

Blocks:

1.0 Sr C Arthur Baron Southeastern Louisiana
1.0 Sr PF Gerald Lee Southeastern Louisiana
0.6 Fr PF Stephen Shore Birmingham Southern
0.6 Sr C Shaun Fetter Savannah State
3 others at 0.5

Interesting to note that blocking seems to have been a key part of Southeastern Louisiana's phenomenal season. Also intriguing is that the third best blocker in the conference was a freshman. Whether he'll turn into the King of Blocks by his senior year remains to be seen. Still, it's exciting to see a frosh play that well.

Turnovers:

4.0 Fr PG Julius Mangan Birmingham Southern
3.9 So PG Preston Hagar Eastern Kentucky
3.6 Jr PG Kent Roberts Gardner Webb
3.4 Fr PG Hank Lopez Savannah State
5 others at 3.2

As one might expect, the biggest offenders at turning the ball over were young point guards. While, much with steals and blocks, I'm not sure what represents a good number or a bad number, I'm going to say this is pretty bad? Anyway, I hate to end on a negative note, so I'm going to include one more positive stat that relates to this one.

A/T Ratio:

2.25 So PG Jonas Sandberg Florida A&M
1.75 Sr PG James Lincoln Charleston Southern
1.62 Sr PG James Howard Charleston Southern
1.57 Fr SF Conrad Rubio Charleston Southern
1.47 So PG Fritz Lawson Southeastern Louisiana

I think playing in a substitute role has a tendency to skew the A/T ratio, as the only starter among the top 5 is Lincoln. Still, this list is instructive in pointing out that a key to Charleston Southern's success this season was their ability to have good ballhandling from their players and not turn the ball over much while getting a good number of assists.

As promised, I'll be tracking Demetrius Yuan's stats from year to year, since he should have gone to Florida A&M but the bastard went to Florida Atlantic instead.

PG Demetrius Yuan
GS: 30
PPG: 12.5
RPG: 1.7
APG: 2.3
TPG: 3.7
A/T: 0.63
SPG: 0.5

Awards: NONE!

He was actually beaten out by a RS Frosh from Georgia State by the name of Garland Collins for the Atlantic Sun Freshman All-Conference PG spot.

Looking over the stats, I can see why they gave it to Collins. Higher APG at 3.2 and better A/T at 1.47 negate his lower 9.3 PPG.

The Owls did improve from last season with Yuan at the point, though, going from a 9-20 record to a 10-20 one, and more importantly, going from 4-14 in conference play to 7-11.

If only he had come to Florida A&M...

Oh shoot! I just realized I forgot to include the NCAA and NIT pertinent results for this season! Upsets will be bolded, and just so that you know, I don't consider games won by the lower seed if they're only one apart to be an upset (i.e. an 9 beating a 8, or a 3 beating a 2 for example) The one exception will be any time a #1 seed falls

I'm frankly a little suprised that none of these classes broke the top 100 as I expected them to do, based on last year's results.

The good thing, though? Just two of the schools had classes that were ranked in the 200s, which is a huge improvement from last season and a sign of the improving quality of the programs in terms of prestige.

Most exciting about the recruiting classes of the Blue Sky Conference for this year definitely *has* to be that we've got, for the very first time, a High School All-American playing in the Blue Sky, *and* two Mr. Basketballs for their respective states!

High School All-Americans:
3* PG Michael Cash Florida A&M

He finished with 1 assist in 10 minutes during the All-American game for those who are wondering, by the way.

State Mr. Basketballs:
3* SF Emile Johnson (South Carolina) Savannah State
2* PG Alfred Yount (Michigan) Eastern Kentucky

As a result of a controversial awarding of the regular season conference title from last season to Liberty, the Flames have the largest prestiged jump from last season.

Interesting to note is that we now have 4 teams in the conference in double digit prestiges after only 2 seasons. Very nice to see! With any luck, we'll also have our first 20 prestige team next season.

Receiving Facility Upgrades For Next Season:
Birmingham Southern (Current:0 Conf Rank:7)
Eastern Kentucky (Current:3 Conf Rank:5)
William & Mary (Current:1 Conf Rank:6)

I've also decided to track who will be receiving upgrades from season to season in their training facilities and post a conference ranking of the facilities qualities each year.

Yes, this is expanding the amount of work I have to do, but I think it's fun... and I enjoy it (In spite of my prolific amount of cursing due to code function difficulties)

Binetti has competition this season, as a few more head coaches in the Blue Sky Conference now qualify for Level 1 status. Here they are, with their change in stats:

Tim Moungey Eastern Kentucky
Rec:30 Scout:21 Off:13 Def:56

Mike Wilson Liberty
Rec:11 Scout:14 Off:50 Def:45

Some assistant coaches went up as well, most to Level 1 with one exception:

Ariel Shaw Charleston Southern (Recruiting)
Rec:42 Scout:13 Off:35 Def:30

Jacques Ellis Charleston Southern (Assistant)
Rec:28 Scout:11 Off:67 Def:14

Bryce McLaughlin Liberty (Scouting) (Level 2)
Rec:41 Scout:44 Off:0 Def:55

McLaughlin instantly becomes a hot commodity who wants $50,000 instead of the $35,000 he's making now.

No job offers for our guys in the head coach movement round, which I was a little surprised to see. I thought for sure Binetti would get some looks if nothing else.

Oh well!

Note: This is also as far as we go before the start of the third season previews....

If anyone at all out there besides me is reading this, any suggestions or additions you'd like to see?

Because it's not for myself that I'm putting this up here.. Hell, I can just store all this data on my hard drive like I was doing before I started to make a thread of it...

I just thought people might be interested in seeing this is all

Thanks for the reply, Radii

Yeah, I found it pretty amazing that Duke managed to open up with back-to-back titles.

My guess is though that they aren't going to threepeat in season three if that's any consolation

I'm reading, but not clear on something...

So the coaches are set to "Human" so they can't get fired, but you don't actually control them? The assistants do all the recruiting? Are you having any impact on what happens in the game?
