2 Live Stews on ESPN2

Looks like ESPN is increasing their televising radio shows.

One of these 'Stews' seems to be mimicing Stephen A.

It's funny the other major sports radio station does a 'commercial' ripping the 2 Live Stews. Basically you hear hip hop music and someone going "A'ight, A'ight, A'ight" and then a dog barking in the background. Suddenly the music stops and you hear a guy going "Do you know what I'm saying?". Then silence. Then you hear another voice saying "I just wanted to talk about the Braves".

And obviously slap at the 2 Live Stews. I thought it was sports talk radio etiquette not to blast another show. Guess not. The attack may have been unwarrented, but I'll admit, I laughed.

Frankly, I think the 2 Live Stews may be entertaining, but don't have a good grasp of the facts. Below average show, IMO.

When sports radio becomes more about the hosts and what they ate for dinner or saw at the movies.. then it becomes crappy and useless

I don't care for the Stews at all. They recently got moved to the drive-home time slot (4-7) which has totally screwed up my listening habits on my 1.5 hour drive home each day.

I had to switch over to 680. Their commercial that ISiddiqui mentioned is perfect. Pretty appropriate, IMO.

I'm not happy with the switch either (but I have to admit I'm not the Stew's target demographic - and because of that I won't bash them). Unlike you I can't listen to the 680 drive time guys for any length of time. Kincade dwells on something so much it ends up being like nails across a chalkboard - and if he says "oh my gosh" one more time, I think I might puke.

The liner was funny though.

I miss Chris Dimino during the afternoon drive time.

The Stews are not that bad, but you won't get any hard hitting sports news there. They do have some good daily topics, but I can see how many people get lost in all the "extra" stuff thats non sports related. They certainly go after younger people, and I sometimes wonder how a 45 year old man could listen to them.

I was going to say drug addiction or teen pregnancy or rampant consumerism.

But I think you might be on to something...
