Are there only 5 commercials in existence now?

You got that androgynous dude gyrating and stripping in the airport security line because he chewed some gum.

You have taco bell completely killing the song 'I Melt With You' advertising some melty thing that stretches across the room that I have no desire to eat. Although, maybe I should try it because it is obvious it possibly is the answer to world peace by the looks of their ad.

You have Feist counting in hopes of selling I-pods (or something I-pody related)

You have Mcdonalds with their Monopoly game with some teenage ditz with her 'Egg and Muffin strategy'. (where I've never met anyone that has won anything more than a medium fry. Oh sure, they SAY so and so won $50K but, you never see the million dollar winner. Why? Because it was thrown out at some McDonalds stop along I-80)

And finally, you have some nasty ass oreo pizza that, when you eat it, it clings to your face and supposedly looks cool.

At least I wasn't watching FX and having to see some ad for the show Damages again. I still don't know what that f'n show is about. Nor do I care because I think Glen Close is a man. She played one in Hook so, not that far of a stretch....

I don't know what you're talking about. I think I've only seen one of those ads (or if I've seen them, I haven't seen them enough for them to make an impression).

Maybe it is regional but, every show I watch on the 3 main networks has those all 5 of those in rotation during the hour. (at least 4 times and usually together during an NFL game)

Surprisingly, I haven't seen the Manning spot in 2 weeks.

I worked a ton of hours at McDonalds the summer between high school and college while the original Monopoly promo was on. I never saw or heard of anyone winning anything more than free food, and after it was done we opened hundreds of the fricking things we had left over without seeing anything other than free food either. There aren't that many McD's in the UK either (relatively).

Or they could still be doing the whole "insider" thing they did a few years ago that nearly brought the company to its knees when it was revealed how corrupt the game had become.

Not to mention that the odds of winning $1 Million makes winning the Powerball look like a coin flip.

Those are the only 5 commercials that don't star Peyton Manning or Reggie Bust right now. Oh, and the coors light series.

Yeah, I was just about to say how in the world can someone claim there are only 5 commericals and not name a single Peyton Manning one?

One thing we have learned from commercials is that bottlenose dolphins can cover receivers better than the Miami Dolphins.

Add me to the list of people who don't believe it's possible to actually win non-food prizes playing McDonald's Monopoly.

"Okay....now for the fun part....I've just finished my hamburger...which featured the winning combo of a stale bun and paper-thin beef patty..now it's time for a whimsical game-of-chance...Oook....peeling it back now......I got.....Park Place.....and......Park Place...Two Park Places....those will look nice next to the other 77 park places I have in a neat little pile at home"

This has to be the Nastiest commercial I have ever seen. I am not exactly sure who would get hungry looking at these 2 guys and their Oreo facial hair?

Yes. This song has been stuck in my head for 2 weeks now.

Is this the one where the construction worker is rubbing the dude's bald head? I just realized that was for Monopoly. If I am not watching something on DVR, I try to "mute" all commercials. I am more successful than not, though clearly failed on the ipod commercial.

This ad really does not make that thing look appealing. At all.

I too am surprised at the lack of Manning/Bush commercials mentioned. Those Coors Light commercials are horrible. They really wasted the Denny Green tirade.

I'm still at a loss at to why anyone thinks that commercials which make consumers of their product look like idiots are a good idea.

I just don't notice the Manning ones that much. I've probably only seen the Dolphin one twice..

As for the dancing gum one... here

This needs to die. Not since that Papa Roach song has the first line of any song/commercial flooded my synapses with the impulse to destroy the device responsible for making me hear it.

Or the other commercials that bash the people that may like their competitor thinking that will swing them to their product.

I rarely watch commercials, but I have seen the Dr Pepper lineman doing an end zone dance a couple of times.

What moron dreamed up that monstrosity?
