New BBCF league

I didn't clear this with Barkeep, so I hope he doesn't mind me cluttering up our forum, but a new BBCF league is starting up. The commissioners are: Alan T, ardent enthusiast, and st.cronin. I know there are a few people here who play BBCF. I have reserved Illinois for hoopsguy, and Michigan State for Schmidty, and sent them invitations via pm. This league will play with a semi-old school bowl setup - Rose Bowl will always be Big 10 champ vs. Pac 10 champ, etc. There may be years when there are multiple undefeated teams. There are also a large number of independent teams. Much of the details are still being worked out, but if you are interested please let us know. |

I profess to a certain uneasiness about things like this as I worry that it perpetuates the idea that we're not part of the larger community. It's a ridiculous idea, but it's out there. So I'm going to leave this here, but lock the thread and encourage people to go to the OT thread to post further.
