Elemental Magic for George RR Martin fans
I saw the preview for the new Stardock Turn-based Strategy game due out in early 2010. Brad the developer is a big Fire and Ice fan and has crafted a game that sounds like it will be a TBS game in the land similar to Martins and also have a rich alliance, marrriage, vassal system. To me it sounds like Martin meets crusader Kings meets Civ IV.

Can't wait for this one. I know they originally were shooting to make Master of Magic 2 but ran into some issues getting the license and the project evolved into this.
I listened to Brad discuss the game on the Three Moves Ahead podcast(highly recommended podcast for anyone who is into strategy or warganes) a few weeks back and they're planning some really interesting stuff. |

I read the preview earlier today. It sounds awesome. Quote:
Based on Cyanide's work on Blood Bowl, I am no longer too excited about the prospect of this game.

i suppose. i'm willing to give it a shot. i have a feeling ASOIAF-modders will have a field day with this though...at least I hope. But that'd probably involve modding out all of the "magic." I wonder how easily that could be done. There's also the Westeros: Total War mod that I am on the team of (yay Westeros Total War). Speaking of which...I need to sack up and work on that tonight.
