Heal I presume would be like having a free healing potion each fight. That's pretty good, but we do get those in supply pretty regularly. Danny's right that summon monster should be pretty powerful, and would keep attacking all combat. Fireball should do a ton of damage but just once.
I'm not sure on things like dispel magic or remove curse, cure poison. These could be handy but we don't know how often. |

It looks like we could summon monster x2 if we wanted, if not, I actually say fireball or dispel magic (as is sent in now) over heal. Going offensive will speed up combat, so maybe fireball or a second summon monster actually.

Kwhit, does our potion of speed work based on time or for one action?
So if we drink the potion, is it only in play for the current action of playing cards? Or does it last for a certain period of time (thus having the same effect no matter when we use it)? Does it speed up combat as well? |

You move onto the next room:
Room 14: You enter a small room. In the center is a pedestal on which sits a crystal orb. You totally want to take the orb, but it is connected to the pedestal. Still, you have the ability to use the it to your advantage. Your choices: Spy on another team (indicate which team you wish to view). View the upcoming room. See how many rooms are left before the finish line. Ignore the orb and continue through the room as quickly as possible. Let me know by noon on Monday. |

See how many rooms are left, I agree. Seeing the next room wouldn't really be helpful unless there was a choice involved and we could see which one was better.
If we know how many rooms it will affect our strategy, as we can screw gold and fame towards the end and run for it. I say we do that. |

You approach the orb. Darth Vilus carefully places his hands on it and closes his eyes. You see a faint image in the orb of a cloaked woman. Her skin is tight and grey. Darth Vilus mouths his question to her.

DV holds his staff inside the hole and mutters a spell to open the door.
Nothing happens. "So close!" says the DJ's voice from the TV monitors. Then you say "please" Nothing again. You say "open sesame" Nothing, You sing it a song.. Nada. You tell it it's the nicest door we've ever seen and will it please open. Zilch. The DJ says, "Read the clue again... Sharp wit? Sharp!" Ah ha! Finally, you stick Autumn's dagger in the hole. That along with the spell opens it! It took you a little while, but you move on. |

Room 16:
Danny drinks a healing potion and casts Mage Armor on himself. Autumn then picks the lock and opens the door. Inside is a large dimly lit smoky room. The room is made of rough rock - it's barely a room at all, closer to a cavern. You smell burning flesh, but can't make out much beyond a smoky haze in front of you. And that's when you hear a shrieking sound and are confronted by: 2 Winged Harpies. They seem to call out in their unnatural language, and they are joined by: 2 Spined Devils. You quickly drink your potion of speed - sharing it between the three of you. This will give you additional attacks for part of the battle! They attack. The harpies begin by singing their Alluring Song. They are trying to charm you! DV resists it! Danny resists! Autumn resists! The Spined Devils hang back and shoot poison spines at you. One hits Autumn! DV casts Summon monster. A Celestial Bear appears and charges the first harpy! DV then casts web at the Devils. The first Devil is caught in the web. The other is not. Danny charges the first harpy and misses with Bal's Battleaxe. Autumn charges the first harpy and hits 2x! ----------------------- The harpies use their claws: Harpy 1: miss Harpy 2: hits Danny Spined Devil 1: webbed Spined Devil 2: miss DV: Hits the first harpy with magic missile The Bear: misses Danny: hits 2x Autumn: hits 1x -------------------- The harpies sing their song again! All of you resist it!
