My Stellaris Biogenesis Mutation - With Hivemind - The Mutex Brood

My Biogenesis Stellaris Dynasty:

Origin:
Slingshot to the Stars? -75% Starbase flu cost and -50% Quantum Catapult Accuracy and one is on my system. I’d love to try that out with my normal going wide style. Or I could do Prosperous Unification with +400 pop on HW and it has +1 Generator and Ag Districts and faster colonies by sending them over. Or I could do Common Ground and start in a Federation with other folks and then choose what I like most. Or Mechanist starts with +800 Robots and Robot Assembly Plant and other great stuff and two techs too. Since I’ll be Biogenesis Clone Army might be good starting with two Ancient Clone Vats and start with Cloning and Gene Banks unlocked. Or I could grab Overtuned, grab Biogenesis one early and then get better traits and start with Gene Tailoring and +2 Mod points for species and +1 trait pick. Wow that seems amazing. Let’s do Clone Army or Overtuned. The latter made for this path.

I do like here going wide like normal. Last time I tried going tall with virtual ascension in the other one against myself. That’s the Purity path – which is all about improving your leaders and pops. It even has an option to reduce your Empire Size off it. Then Cloning is all about pop growth maximization with Clone Vats and then really pushing yourself and is a nice middle ground, and you can make backup Clones of your leaders to keep them around but with Clone degradation to drop their level each time. Then Mutation is all about spreading to other planets well with the ability to get better suitability to the various planets you have up to 200% but you’ll start at 50% for them all. In your choices, three times you can choose a path and then your tree gets that path choice – and then if you’ve chosen what you end up with twice you get more bonuses. We are doing Mutation although most agree that Cloning is the best one.

What’s the best Mutation government to slide into, so we can choose it up front? Organ Usury is the Mercantile one and it gives you tons of Trade. Probably no to Hivemind although it gets +15% habitability – so if we want to stack to get closer to 200% that works. Probably not Imperials which reduce leader options but make them better. The Dictatorial Hybrid Mandate is all good stuff with Enforcers dropping crime and rising Unity, and then elites are super happy and good at their job and then +10 stability and then +10% faction resource output. Oligarch’s Catalytic Command has some minuses with minuses to happiness with -10% worker and -15 specialist. But they are +10 job efficiency for the specialists and +5% research speed, -10 crime, +10% faction resources and the elites are happy like the previous one at 25%. Love that better specialist efficiency. Democratic’s Biodiverse Liberty has no negatives, and then we get +1 leaders to recruit, +5 job efficiency in all classes, +10% monthly unity, +10% and +5% research speed too. So adding the Hivemind is nice, the Oligarch’s +10% job efficiency from specialists and %5 to all from Democracy is nice. Democracies and Oligarchs I have run in the past, so here is everything we’ll take:

Ship Type: Do I do humanoid Molluscoid or bio ships like Shellships? Shellcraft.

Ruler Traits: Eye for Talent – 5% Leader EXP gain

Species Traits:
Intelligent - +10% Research job eff. Fleeting. Communal - -10% Housing usage. Rapid Breeding - +10% pop growth, Unruly +10% Empire size from pops. Sure, but I’m losing 50% for this, and it’s free. Or I could drop Communal for dropping Unruly to the free +1 Sedentary. I keep them and swap Sedentary for Fleeting. After choosing Overtuned, I swap Rapid Breeding for the crazy good – Pre-Planned Growth with –30 years leader lifespan but…+30% pop growth and -10% housing usage like Communal in one pick. I pull that for another amazing 3 point pick – Excessive Endurance - -30 year leader lifespan but….+30% habitability – great for getting to 200, and then +5% job eff. for all jobs!!! I have 1 pick left but no points, so I stick with what I’ve got!!! Could I add 10 years of lifespan to my leaders? I could swap Intelligent for 2 points for 1 point Enduring and then add 20 years of lifespan and then take another 1 one like -10 leader growth but +10% research – done. I have used all of my traits and points.

Government Civics:
I like here Ascetic for +5% habitability and -15% pop amenities usage and better Node growth. I also loved here Divided Attention for another +25% node growth and -25 Empire size too, and Empath to make nice with normal and not get the Hivemind reductions. I also love here Familiar Face to give us -50% to make dip actions, and then +2 envoys and -2 op difficulty and node EXP gain +25% to keep folks happy with us. Memorialists will let us build Sanctuaries of Repose to fill with workers to turn credits and minerals into unity and stability and amenities. Natural Neural Network is great with tech +1 alternative, +2.5 efficiency (better than stuff), +25% research Node EXP and great minerals and unity for 100 pops. One Mind lets us increase unity by 15% per month and then -1 leader MAX negative skills. I really like Divided Attention, One Mind and Familiar Face to make nice with people. I choose One Mind and Divided Attention.

Government Ethic
s: Gestalt Consciousness – We turn off the tutorial. We get -20% War Exhaustion, pops not affected by happiness, +1 monthly influence, +2 encryption
Hivemind: Immortal Ruler and nodes, +25% Pop growth, -25% Empire Size from anything.

Jan 01, 2200 – I send Science Ship to survey south-east to Strubius System!!!

I hire three researches and begin with grabbing in Physics Field Modulation to increase our Energy Credit making and then in Society Eco Simulation to increase Food Production and then Engineering tech I snag Zero-G Refineries to increase our Mineral making.

I start bringing in Mines and Reseerch stations in our HW for 3 Energy, 3 Minerals and 2 Engineering

I order another Science Ship built.

13 March – We make contact with Alien life. I send the newly christened Science Ship north to an unknown system. I order another Science Vessel.

It seems like Mining Stations here cost Food not minerals or alloys.

06 July – Our next Science Ship is done and sent to survey west at Kuhlehm

24 Sept – Construction done in our HW, ship heads north to Jasmak where there is an Ocean World.

15 Nov – Anomaly found in Striubius II begun for 180 days

07 Mar, 2201 – Council Agenda ready – here I choose Infinite Opportunities for 97 months which will give us amenities of +400. I choose next the Agenda of Finding the Voice to increase Unity production.

26 May - Anomaly done – we find here Consecrated Energy we choose to study. I use trade for Food of a few hundred since we are no longer trading with Energy Credits but trade value. I swap 676 trade for 500 food. Then I have enough for a Colony Ship for a year of building.

10 June – We discover on Jasmak IV artifacts. This starts the Precursor event chain. I start this 300 day anomaly.

06 July – We finish surveying the Orb and we find here a Time Travel when they touch the object. I can make a 4th Science Ship with her exploring and then get another leader here, but I already have three and that’s -8 Unity/month for them. No thanks.

15 Aug - We finish surveying the Strubius system!!! This has just mines for 3 Energy, no major planets either. I head north to survey.

11 Sept – I have enough Unity for my first Tradition! I like here the Discovery and then take the one helping with surveys and then science too. Or I could do Expansion and get faster colonies and good stuff there. I do Discovery and then for unlocking it get Chart the Unknown Council Agenda, and then +20% anomaly speed.

29 Mar, 2202 – Anomaly done in Jasmak – We find here an abandoned Amusement Park with a boost of 350 society and 500 engineering research.

04 April – Survey done in Kuhlehm! It has no planets, 3 each energy and minerals – not great for mining – next is Gorim next to our HW with a Gate.

3 June – Anomaly found in Jasmak taking us a massive 1800 days – nope. I send my Colony Ship here.

26 July – Weak signal in the Gorim system found, we assign an envoy to break it down.

08 Aug – We level up our Regulatory Node and give it the skill of Dynamic Growth to increase pop growth by 5% and then our Growth Node levels and we give her Node Enhancer to speed up Agenda by 10%.

5 Sept – Our leader leveled we take Dynamic Growth for him too.

We finish surveying Jasmak and order our Con Ship to bring it in! It has mines for 2 energy too. Then this ship heads west to survey the next system. It costs 45 alloys and Food to bring it in, still more food.

10 Oct – Next Tradition for Discovery!!! I choose: Sensing Tendrils - +35% survey speed, and +50% Science Ship disengagement chances.

I swap another trade for foods. I found the next Ocean world in Dongar north of Strubius

I order another Colony Ship for it.

07 Nov – We find in Gorim Abnormal Conditions.

27 Nov – We finish surveying Dongar with an Ocean World and 2 energy, we also find here an anomaly for 250 days I do.

20 Dec - We bring in Jasmak! I order this place mined. We send the Colony Ship here

03 Feb, 2203 – New Colony set up – called Jasmak Prime!

Type Ocean, size 15, space for 6 Ag, 2 Energy and 4 Mining Districts and 13 Hives. Space for 8 districts!

7 April – Cognitive Mode leveled we choose to take Info Gathering for +5% EXP and then we leveled up Legion Node with Amplified Subprocesses to give us +15 Edict Fund and then -7.5 Edict cost.

30 May – Construction done for mines in Jasmak, next is bringing in Dongar.

01 July – We finish the anomaly in Dongar we find here Swirling Shadows for +4 society research there. I head north to survey.

08 July - System is now finished in Gorim with the Wormhole and 2 energy, 6 minerals and then I just got an anomaly here for a loooong 1200 three years. I skip it. I head north of Jasmak.

11 Aug – We discover the rare mineral of Zro in the Huntur system!!!

04 Oct – We finish surveying the system of Huntur with 1 Zro and 3 energy. It’s next to us at Jasmak and our HW Mutenxia too. We send them west

We finish first contact with the aliens. They are the Kroll Marauders and then we gained 26 flu. They are in the Patraggor System.

I order another Con Ship in our HW to bring in Huntur.

28 Nov – We bring in Dongar! I order our Colony Ship there!!! And then mines for 2 Energy and 4 Society.

29 Dec – We have found a Pre-Warp civ in the Obnoll system called the “Ti-Zru”

12 April – We find in Obnoll an anomaly we’ll take 72 days for - done!

12 May – Dongar Prime set up!!!!

Next Unity Tradition is done for Discovery and we take: Databank Uplinks - +20% Research from Stations.

07 July - Anomaly finished in Obnoll! We find here Sonified Science for extra research techs.

15 Sept – We finish energy in Dongar - next I head to Obnoll.

19 Sept – Huntur ours - I order mines here for 3 energy.

13 Jan, 2205 – Huntur construction done!! Next, I head to Gorim to bring it in.

4 May – We find in Uldur system a Toxic terraforming potential world.

19 May – Obnoll is done surveying, it has Tomb World, and then a Pre-FTL, I order my Con Ship to bring it in!!! 2 energy here too. I send them to Ophele to survey it.

08 July – We finish surveying right next to Obnoll Uldur with 8 minerals, 2 each physics and engineering tech. I send them north to survey

06 Aug – We bring in Obnoll – I order a study station at their planet built.

14 Sept – Gorim is outs with it’s 2 Energy, 6 minerals and Wormhole – mines here are ordered.

21 Sept – We finish the system next to Huntur called Jor Man Dir with 2 each energy and minerals on the far side of our foes.

05 Dec – Colony finished in Jasmak Prime!!! I specialize here as a Food World and an Ag District built here.

01 Jan, 2206 – In Stellaris 4.0 each planet has two City specialties for Cities where you can build a district that has fewer than 1k housing per district but jobs. We could choose Archives with are 800 housing and 60 research and 40 Bureaucrats or Mixed Industry for 800 housing and then 50 each Artisans and Metallurgists. I choose here Jasmak Prime two build up here. I could build Admin Hubs for 800 people and then Bureaucrats for Unity or Research Enclaves for 90 jobs and 800 housing or Farming Support for 50 Trader Jobs and better farming here. Then the three specializations have three buildings each.

I choose to build at Jasmak Prime – Admin Hub and Farming Support. This will take one year each to build and then cost us each 1k minerals. Now Pops have changed massively in 4.0 and now it would take around 40 years to get to 200 each. We need to get to around 1.5k or 2k to start getting good Pop growth. Also, planets with high pop slow down growth too. We need to be around half of total pop size to get good growth. I send 1.4 k there for 1.4k in energy.

In Obnoll I order my 2 energy mined here.

12 Mar – We finish exploring the 4 engineering research system of Kelvan Maelstrom!!!

26 Apr – Construction done in Obnoll, next I move to bring in the system of Uldor to its north.

05 June – We finish mines in Gorim, next is bringing in Kuhlheim

22 July – We finish scouting the quiet Ophele system with 3 energy. I send this Ship to anomalize the 3 year one in Gorim.

8 Aug – We can choose another Tradition in Discovery: We take Mindlink for +1 research option, and then +1 leader level for Scientists

20 Aug – Anomaly found in Lane and then set aside for 600 days.

12 Dec – I order a Colony Ship built for Lane’s Ocean World.

23 Dec – Uldor is ours next to Lane and then with 8 minerals, I order them mined and 2 in two techs.

13 Jan, 2207 – Survey done for Lane with an Ocean World and then 6 minerals and 2 physics.

08 Feb – System survey done for Vohaul with 4 energy that’s it!

We finish getting ready for habitability Dongar Prime – I order here another Ag World and then Ag and Archives for districts and then send here 1.4k folks.

21 Apr – Kuhlheim is ours with 3 each energy and then minerals – ordered mined next to the Marauders.

6 May – We find anomaly in the system called Gathrica for 150 days done started

06 Sept – Tech done for Eco-Simulation the Society one. Next is Doctrine: Space Command to update that massively

22 Sept – Udor mines done, next here is research station

19 Nov – Our Anomaly is done and here is a Giant Monolith like 2001: A Space Odessey. We spend 200 energy to activate it and here are 10 Minor Artifacts.

3 Dec – Tech done for the Engineering Zero-G Refineries – next is the Geothermal Fracking one for better Minerals too.

09 June – We get another tradition – next Discovery one is Hyperactive Adaptation for +10% Leader XP gain and then +1 leader recruitable.

We launch a new Council Agenda – Finding the Voice; next is Chart the Unknown

08 July – We finish research in Uldor! Next is bringing in Lane – I order the Colony Ship here

5 Sept – The Maelstorm system is ours!!! I order the engineering station here built.

12 Oct – Survey done for the system of Yiriam two away from the Maelstrom with a Tropical World and 6 energy. We also find an anomaly here for 100 days we start.

1 Dec – We discover a Gateway in Jasmak system.

13 Jan, 2209 – We finish building in Kelvan, next is us bringing in Vohaul next to Yiriam.

We finish the tech of Field Modulation – next is +5% Tech boost Synapse Boosters.

We shoot down a Kroll Shuttle and salvage it.

22 Jan – In Yiriam we find a Solar Sailer with that anomaly. We get 250 engineering research

02 Feb – First Contact with someone!!!! We start 1st Contact and assign a Drone.

Lane is ours! We have here 2 physics and 6 minerals – I order the minerals first. I also order it colonized!!!

Actually, I cannot it has an anomaly we gotta do first. I send over the Yiriam one there.

01 Mar – We find a Singing Planet in Gorim with extra unity here – I send them to Lane they are closer

04 May - Two levels up of our leaders – the Regularly Node gets the Amplified Processes to boost Edicts like the other one, and then our Growth Node gets the stability boosting skill called Hum of Stability.

07 July – We finish the next Discovery tradition – we get Synaptic Broadcast which finishes this Tech Tree and then gets us -20% upkeep of our Science Leaders and then for finishing we get +10% Research and then Research Coop Federation type and then we can get an Ascension Perk!!!

One Vision - +10% Monthly Unity and then better stuff.

Vohaul is ours! I order the 4 energy here mined. And Lane’s mines done, next is research here

09 August – Our leader levels and we take Node Enhancer to speed up Council Agendas by 10%

30 Jan, – We find pre-Sapient Space life in the Nizatorom System. We finish exploring it and it’s got a Savanna World and then 2 each engineering and physics research next to Vohaul.

06 Mar – We finish building in mines in the Vohaul, next is bringing in the Yiriam System with the Tropical World.

28 Mar – Survey done in the Gathrica system near us in the northern flank and then here is 2 Energy, a massive 13 Minerals and 2 Society and 1 Astral Thread.

1 May – Blockers cleared on our HW – are there more here? One more – done.

13 July – We find a Dig Site in Nembus – next to us on the western flank.

We encounter another First Contact Species.

04 Sept – We bring in Yiriam and then it’s 6 Energy I order mined. The Tropical World here has an 85% suitablity and then size of 11.

We get a new Tradition – I choose – Expansion – for grabbing this we get the Super Colonies Agenda and then +25% Grow Rate with them and then our Habitats have less Alloy upkeep – that Agenda gives me even faster Colony Development speed

19 Mar - We finish mines in Gorim for the Unity stuff, I head back to the northern flank.

15 April – Yiriam mines done, I bring in Nizatorom.

07 May – Two Nodes level up: Cognitive Node takes +5% Research boosting skill called Spark of Genius, the Legion Node takes Fleet Organizer for +4 Naval Capacity.

06 June – We find an Anomaly in the Nembus System for 900 days we do.

19 Aug – Anomaly done in Lane! This is a League Naval Base for the Precursors. It issues a Special Project researched. I also

11 Oct – We get an Anomaly in Austeen taking 180 days we start

01 Jan, 2112 - Our Observation Post in Obnoll is noticed a bit by the locals.

I order a Generator District in our HW

21 Feb - We finish the Special Project in Lane – we find here 50 Marties and then +1 Precursor Event Chain.

21 March - Tech done for Synoptic Enhancers for +5% Research next is Blue Beam Projector to unlock it.

10 April – We come across an Alien Spacecraft in the Austeen system – I open the logs and get a Special Project for it. We start for 15 months

17 June – We finish an anomaly in Lane that has a habitable world – it finds here at Lane III the Savage Wildlands ability with a few blockers too.

We use the in-system Colony Ship to colonize it.

I also build a Colony Ship for the Tropical World.

We finish the research station in Nizatorom. Next is bringing in northern flank Gathrica next to Lane.

08 Sept – We finish contact with the Crystalline

Entities north of Lane in Camthirn. We gained 27 Flu. I order in Lane a Starbase to defend it. This costs 100 Alloys and 350 food.

Lane Prime starts colonizing:




Lane Prime – Wild Fauna there, size 20, 8600 people capacity, 19 Hive Clusters, 8 Ag, 6 Energy and 4 Mining too.

01 Oct – We finish surveying Austeen next to Lane and Gathrica. It has a nice 4 energy and 8 minerals. We also discover an anomaly here for 100 days we go ahead and jumpstart.

15 Oct – Gathrica ours – with the great mines – all brought in.

12 Nov – We can get the next Expansion Tradition: We get One Mind Colonies get +1 city district and +25% Speed

11 Jan, 2213 – I order built:

Mutenxia Prime – Alloys Maker Building for 40 minerals and 300 days to make them from Minerals.

We finish Austeen Anomaly with Monoliths on the planet. We find here 600 engineering research

10 June – Tech done for Doctrine: Space Combat – next is Improved Mauler Deployment to unlock the Mauler type ship and then +5 to Fleet Commands.

23 Aug – Survey done for Polymar System north flank next to us. We have here another okay mining at 4 energy and 6 Minerals.

12 Feb – We finish Construction at Gathrica next is the research station here.

1 July – On Obnoll the Pre-FTL civ figures out the stars. We let them do it on their own

I make this a Generator World, order one built. And then 1417 trade for 1k Minerals for that Archives, but not enough for the last one. I then transfer here – 800 from my HW, 200 from Jasmak, 400 from Dongar. 1.6k total there.

20 Feb – We finish contact with the Aliens! We gain 45 flu and 1000 society research.

We finished the Improved Mauler Deployment – next is a tough one – I choose Genome Mapping for a +10% pop growth, but we also had a Unity Booster too I skipped to grab it.

04 Apr – Good news!! We finish 1st Contact with the Curator Order!!! We assign that envoy to make nice with the locals above again.

For 955 energy I purchase a +5% Research Speed for 10 years.

22 Apr – We discover an anomaly in the system of Theemin in the north for just 67 days is started

02 May – We finish researching the Crystalline Entities and then choose to take the Crystalline Infused Armor tech option 50% done.

15 May – Jasmak specialists are getting used to the Null Void gate there. We get a special project to send a scouting envoy. I start it btu it’ll take 87 months

16 July – We finish the anomaly in the Theemin System and here is an Exotic Radiation stuff we get 850 physics research

30 July – Siplim mines done, next is research station for society.

16 Aug -Anomaly found in the west system of Imdar I start for a fast 67 days.

I build two Mature Maulers at food of 280 each, 150 days, and 79 Alloys that I just unlocked

06 Nov- The Imdar anomaly is done – we find here an Ancient Survey Marker and then the planet gets a mine for +4 minerals

22 Nov – We finish Construction in the Siplim System – all done here and we’ve incorporated Norgon next to Bellevarle. I order the 4 energy here mined.

06 Dec – Tech done for Zero-G Labs!! Next is Improved Deflectors for that tech.

We get the next Expansion Tradition!!! We choose Limited Autonomy – before I have an Empire Size of 194. This will cut of Empire Size from Systems and Planets by 25% each!!! After it drops to 177. Not bad. One left!!

21 Dec – Survey done in Ogikapus on the northern flank, I order it brought in with it’s 10 Energy and Wormhole too.

Do I have Climate Restoration for Hive World? Nope. I could wait until it Mega-Engineering, but I could just grab the GFF and then not worry. Normally I skip it, I’ve won without declaring wars at times. GFP or wait? I now have 19/55 fleet size. I do it. GFP.

With my extra trait picks I grab:

I like Erudite for 4 that increases our Scientist job eff by 30%. Extremely Adaptive is +20% Habitability for 4. Fertile for 4 is +30% pop growth and -10% usage. Robust is +30% Habitability and +50 years leader life. Robust or Fertile or Erudite? Love them all!!! Let’s do Robust to get us above 100% in places and then get boosts to traditions

Can I get minuses to get other good stuff?

Nope! They all hurt like doubling amenities and stuff.
