Week 1 is (almost) in the books, and after a big slate of (almost all of the) games, we can finally look forward..

And obviously, the best possibly way to do that, is by overreacting.

Every week 1 loss or win always means more than it should. Every bad or breakout game defines that player for the rest of the season.

We all know it’s not true, but.. where’s the fun in waiting? Let’s get too it!

Up first on ORM, is our Defending (sim) Super Bowl Champs.

Week 1 Result: 50-17 Loss to Dallas
Over Reaction:
The Green Bay Packers will miss the playoffs this year!

I know Dallas is good. But 50-17? Really Green Bay? How good is a defense that gives up 500 total yards? Not Championship level good. Not even playoff level good..

Up next, we have the Madden GOAT Cover boy/old man...

Week 1 Result: 41-9 Loss to Buffalo
Over Reaction:
Tom Brady is D-O-N-E!

First off.

Buffalo?

Secondly, Thomas Edward Brady is 42 years old. He has 5 SB wins. Which is one less than the amount of INTs he threw in this game.

Sometimes you gotta know when to fold em, Tom. You had your shot last season. You got blown out then too. Maybe ride off into the sunset and let the NKOTB have some fun? Ok?

Up next we are actually going to discuss a team that won their Week 1 matchup.. but when you look at their QBs stats, and the amount of money he’s being paid..

What? Oh they already traded him?

Ok.

Moving on.

Speaking of stats..

Week 1 Result: 234 rush yards on 25 carries
Over Reaction:
Denver RB Leo McMillan will rush for 3000 yards!

Yes that’s a 3. As in Three Thousand. And that’s not even keep a 234 per game pace which would put him at a whopping 3700.

Clearly Denver is going to feed him the ball. And play defense. And uh. Also throw for 325?

Clearly this game was not some form of statistical anomaly. Those never happen..
