What College football game does everyone play?

Obviously ESPN NFL 2K5 is one of the football games ever and I think that is why we keep going to this board. I was wondering however if anyone here plays college football games as well and if you do, which college football game do you prefer? I know 2K sports released a NCAA game in 2003 but I havent heard many good reviews about it. I need suggestions on a good game to buy. Thanks everyone.

EA has the NCAA license so everyone either plays NCAA by them or nothing at all for college football.

NCAA 07 on the current gen is actually a really tight game of football. It's not really the best thing since sliced bread but it is probably the best NCAA college football game. Whether you like the Next gen version of the same game depends on you. I have heard rave reviews and people who have said it is the worst game in the series. One note is that there is no coach mode on the next gen version, so if that is important you should pass.

The gameplay is different than NFL 2K so it may take some getting used.

NCAA 2004 is the best of the EA Sports series out there. 2007 comes close but I will take 2004 over it. I say give it a shot since it will be pretty cheap used.

I did a poll about this and the overwhelming consensus is that EA's NCAA 2004 is the best of the college football games for PS2...
