No one knows who will have the better game. If APF 2k8 is a solid fun game, I think it will finish in the top 20 for games that do not include sales from the PS2 or regular Xbox.

They HAVE TO release it before Madden... but just after NCAA... there's a window of 4 weeks there typically... 2 weeks after NCAA... 2 weeks before Madden...

BOOM! Perfect time. Two scenarios result from this:

1. People are completely happy with the game and don't even care Madden gets released

2. People don't enjoy the game and go and trade it in to buy Madden... but sales for APF2k8 have already happened... so that works in their favor also.

Mid-June to early July would be great. With the NFL draft and free agents moving around, football gamers are excited about football. The old games have been played to death by then too.

Being the first Pro game out, with a bargain price ($40), with stunning next-gen graphics and gameplay will sell a lot of games. Why not tempt some of the Madden gamers to try it out, since they have a month or more wait?

An Xbox Live demo/video would be good too. It would help to show off the custom options, show a guy creating a team from scratch (choosing a city, team colors, logo, naming players, etc.). Then 2K can help people to understand what can be done with a customizable game, things the NFL game (Madden) won't allow you to do.

The game should come out early like you cats already said. Then a couple of days before Madden drops then put a demo out on live. Steal some steam from EA
