There has been a ton of discussion over time about whether or not 2k would release a new game since EA bought the exclusive NFL license rights. A lot of people heard rumors, read between the lines, and some just posted of their hope of seeing a new 2k football game.

Props go out to everyone who took crap for posting these things over time. I remember reading numerous posts where people were flamed and told to get a life and/or get used to madden that there was little hope of ever seeing a new 2k game (I don't remember the posts specifically being on OS,I just reading them over time).

Our day has come!!!! Hopefully 2k sports brings us a football experience like no other. Think about it, they really don't have any competition in madden anymore, madden is outright terrible!

Anyway, thanks again to all those that posted about this! It has provided some good reading material when we all just need a football fix (and can't play 2k5 or watch a live game of course).

I think BlueLightning over at the 2k forums deserves a ton of props for the heat he took as well.

I knew about it since day one. I was under a gag order so I couldn't say anything or they would of stormed my crib and rearranged my furniture, bobbleheads, stole my tropheys and disconnected my phone that I get calls from Carmen Electra and Steve-O on.

Heh, I seemed to be the only one on here (with cheeseonabun) to understand what was going on in Blue-Lightning's case, and telling you guys that it was not worth the time to bash him of what he was posting.
