I wonder what their internal expecations are from a sales standpoint on this game. I haven't talked to these guys in a while, so I really don't have a feel for what they are projecting their sales to be.

49.99 would be fair since they didn't have to pay for any kind of lincense

Id be curious as well. In fact why arent you guys with connections getting tidbits for us? LOL....i bet now that the game is announced and G.I.'s exclusive is on the shelves, they are more willing to let some things slip out.

Even when I get tidbits, I don't share them with the forums. That's how you end up never getting info again.

Personally, I think as much power as the Madden name has, that logo has more name recognition than Madden itself.......

Remember when NFL Quarterback Club '98 outsold Madden Football 64 back in the day? Granted Madden hadn't built that head of steam that it has now and it was outsold (w/ an NFL license) by NFL GameDay '98. But Gameday actually made some critically acclaimed games before then....... the only thing particularly good about QBC was the QB Challenge in the first title back in 94.........

Just imagine if NFL GameDay's PSone performances carried over to the PlayStation 2........ I don't think Madden would have 60% market share today and it could be Madden vs. NFL2K vs. NFL GameDay...........

Madden built up so much momentum by being the only legit football title on the launch of the PlayStation 2 and when NFL 2K came over from Dreamcast, it was too late. A possible reason why NFL2K5 outsold Madden on Xbox was that Madden didn't build up as much steam on the Xbox that it built on PS2.

Madden 2001 was the most revolutionary title in Madden history in more ways than one.
