the most supicous INT's in NFL history lol
Well, one of those INT's was Hastings' fault. Hastings was supposed to hot read and do an out if the Cowboys blitzed. Hastings ran a fly despite the blitz, Larry Brown in a short zone.... INT.

The other one....I don't know WHAT N.O. was throwing at...

Painful memories...

But, I think Neil's career hit rock bottom the following year with the Jets, when he had no durability, and even hurt himself in pre-game and couldn't go.

..But MAN..did the Jets think they had something with him...

I have to agree with you there. I think playing with a bunch of old retired NFL players would get boring for me at least pretty fast. If i have no choice when playing the game is to play with a bunch of superstar retired players and HOF's this game will feel just as gimmiky as EA, just in a different way. Some people love it, but I just dont see myself getting into it. If I can play with generic players and not have to mess with the old pro's Ill be fine, if thats not the case this will be the first time I have ever passed on a 2k football title, let alone 2k sports title.

If they balance out he-who-will-no-longer-be-named with Pat Tillman and a cut of the proceeds to a fund for the retired old timers, then 2K will more than ease over any bad faith that this game might create from that oh-so-notable roster addition.

Put Tillman in the game!

And how about Dave Meggett? Love that he's in it.

Where's the mods at? I stopped talking about OJ quite some time ago but this dude acknowledged that he knows that he should let the conversation go and two posts later brings it up all over again and nothing.

Anyway, being a vet myself I'd like to see Tillman in the game but we really don't know what kind of player he would have been. It would be pure speculation if they were to put him in the game. He hadn't done anything yet. OJ did. He had stats and earned them so you know what type of player he is.

That post was about being pro-Tillman, and counteracting any perceived negativity surrounding the game, not about you-know-who.

And again, I certainly hope that some proceeds of this game go towards helping older retired players. Unfortunately, many of those guys are in bad shape, financially and physically.

I just hope in the long run....... 2K will add missing legends via XBL. I really like this direction. It takes you back to "the good ole days" And also this game schools the "new school" gamers to the players of the past 2-3 generations of football players.

Tillman was a good player, and you could make that argument for on-field play. No offense to him, because he was very solid, but his body of work was pretty short in the NFL, though I don't "knock" him for that. But then again, this game has legacy players who I would rank well below Pat Tillman on the "legend" scale. (Eric Green...Tim Biakabatuka... /shudder)

Still- It would probably look like a PR stunt by many people on the part of 2K to capitalize on some current events.

I will say that I'd put quite a few legacy safeties NOT in the game ahead of Tillman. (Atkinson, Atwater, Dennis Smith, Vann McElroy, Andre Waters, Mike Wagner, Carnell Lake, Jake Scott...and quite a few others come to mind- particularly guys who could cover and hit with equal impact.)

Honestly though, this game needs more cornerbacks. Since there's so few of them- I see them being BIG fantasy draft commodities. (Particularly Lester Hayes, Michael Haynes)
