Re: 2 tap or not 2 tap. that is the question

"When it comes to controls, Thomas said to expect a game that will be familiar to fans of the NFL 2K series. "We're not looking to make this crazy new football game that no one's ever 'controlled' before; we're looking to add a lot to the genre of football and to the games--We want it to be familiar but have a number of new things."

My guess tapping stays the same based on that quote from the gamespot article.

I like aspects of the game that are based on knowledge of the game, strategy, timing, reading the opponents offense/defense, vision, ect. Basically, knowing what to do and when to do it.

Someone explained to me that this was related to CPU cheating, but I always found that no matter how fast I tapped, even the fastest guys would get caught from behind. I never felt I could max out the speed for my fast guys. The only thing I want stopping my fast guys from hitting top speed is fatigue. Not the endurance or speed of my thumb.

What I'd like to see is speed controlled completely by the analog stick using its pressure sensitivity. Pushing it lightly = walking, pushing to the max = sprinting. I wouldn't mind a few taps to attempt breaking a tackle since it would only be for a short time. But tapping for the last 50 yards of a 70 yard run is a pain in the ***.
Couldn't had said it better!
