It's always around the middle of July. So July 17th is what makes sense too. I'm taking off July 17th and 18th.

I definitely think All Pro SHOULD hit the stores before NCAA and Madden to get its maximum sales. After NCAA is most likely its release date. Going head to head with the same launch date as Madden is suicide IMO.

Maybe going after Madden might not be so bad. Maybe an early September release(if the game needs the time). Right when football season is kicking up, and if Madden and NCAA are not was people expected, they'll be in the used pile and people will pick up All-Pro. I always see Madden and NCAA used a month after they're released. Also if the game hits before Madden, some guys may say "Hmm I'll just wait till Madden comes out to get a football game...". Maybe it might not be that bad to go after. Who knows. The wait would kill me tho so, I wouldn't get to play it.

I don't know if this means much, but I have a gamefly subscription. I checked my que for games the other day and the date for APF2k8 had changed from August 14 to now showing July 18th. Don't know how much truth this is, but gamefly is usually on point with release dates when they send me games. I think that everyone needs to quit getting so excited about print and teaser videos on Madden because everything I have read and seen is not impressing at all. Same hype usually means same result. Be patient for both titles to produce concrete gameplay vids and make a determination on that, and not hype by IGN and Gamespot.

That's interesting, for the points you made. Perhaps a slightly later release wouldn't hurt the title much IF it's of high enough quality to make it a worthy purchase AND Madden isn't still quite "there" - likely won't know that until July when we start seeing gameplay video though. Missing a July/early August release would cost them some on people making "ah what the hell" purchases. And the year 2K5 released a week or so after NCAA they saved me money because I held off purchasing NCAA. Either way, I don't think they can go much longer without giving out some information, we can start establishing some realistic expectations

Yeah they could be wrong, but of course I didn't believe it because THEY reported it.
