How will you customize generic players?

I know I definately don't want to go the current NFL players route. That would completely undermine the game for me.

I think starting off creating myself and a couple of friends would be a cool idea.

I'm definitely going to create myself first, as the QB for my favorite team.

Next, I'll be creating a "twin brother" for myself as the QB on my second favorite team (He'll have my middle name as his first name).

I think I'll grab a team and make some of the current Jets, and some of the legends they missed...i.e. Joe Namath, Al Toon, maybe even Gastineu

The first thing I'll do is create myself as a WR. I'll probably create a few friends too as well as the fictional MLB I create in every football game.

Hopefully some of the generic players are modeled after current players. The only current NFL player I could see myself creating is Michael Vick - not because I'm a fan but because he's so unique. Players I could see myself creating are Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Lawrence Taylor, and perhaps Greene/Lambert/Blount. Also could see myself renaming some of the generic players to make their abilities easier to identify, if the icon system VC has stated the game will have isn't enough

I'm hoping you can save the edited roster file for future seasons...

I will put in myself, my dad and my brother and then start with other players that didn't get in. I'll start with the Raiders and go from there. I may use nicknames and other fun stuff as well, names that are easy to remember and associate so that the generic players have an identity for future seasons. Maybe some fun names, like Ron Mexico and other names that I won't put here for obvious reasons.

I like the idea of adding other legends who were not included by 2k for whatever reasons.

i hope the player editor/name database is robust enough to accomplish this...
