People do equate next-gen with graphics. Graphics is only 1/3 of the whole picture because there are also physics processing and AI of CPU controlled players. I don't care if 2k8 looks like 2k5, as long as the latter 2 are up to snuff, I'm happy.

I'm a little disappointed with the graphics I've seen so far and here's why:

We all saw how amazing 2k5 looked (looks) for the Xbox. It blew the same year's Madden so far out of the water it was ridiculous. A lot of people and myself included likely figured they would continue that level of graphical prowess onto the 360 and asbolutely blow Madden away (graphically). From what I've seen, that doesn't seem to be the case. There are subjective opinions as far as which looks better, of course, but it wasn't even a close contets with 2k5 and Madden 05 on the Xbox. It was very clear, which one looked WAY better.

Throw in the fact that they haven't had a football game released in the last few years and I think that raised the expectation even more. It was, "Wow, imagine how good this game is going to look because they haven't been hampered by the 1-year developing cycle most sports games have." They've had the advantage of more time with the 360/PS3, so I think there was an expectation that this is going to look WAY better than any sport game we've seen. So, the screenshots and trailer have been a little disappointing, in that regard. I was hoping for more than 2k5 with more animations, to be honest, especially considering the time they've had to come up with something amazing.

Wrong. Microsoft developes the patches that make the xbox games backwards compatible on the 360.

And on top of the original post, remember from the Game informer article the new and improved V.I.P system, the journalist was asked as well as the interviewee who was playing the cpu or the end-user? and they were wrong on the question.

People forget about QB evade, Right Stick Jukes, Maximum tackle(fighting for extra yards is fun).

Now if they could steal Maddens hot route adjustments for 1st downs and I would be in heaven.

all that stuff is great, but add a franchise mode and I would be through the roof for this game. With out that I don’t see it holding my interest like 2k5 does.
