Re: Due to the videogame football players love of the mobile QB...

I've been using Steve Young in my season, he is great in or out of the pocket, but I rarely find myself scrambling. I'm thinking of downgrading to a bronze pocket guy and using my gold somewhere else.

Out of curiousity, how do Young and Cunningham compare in this game?

50 --> 5-step drop
70 --> 3-step drop
90 --> hot read/stand up and pass

I could well be wrong, though.

Hey, that may be the case. I haven't fired up 2K5 in a long while so I don't know for sure about how it is in that game now.

Anyway, in APF 2K8 I believe the "90" plays actually consist of plays with both 3-step dropback and also 1-step dropbacks. The "Quick Slants" play is the only 1-step dropback and throw pass play from what I've seen so far. The rest have been 3-step dropbacks.

Yeah, "50" plays are 5-step dropbacks.

And I haven't seen any plays with deep 7-step deep dropbacks yet. I think certain Screen plays have this along with a few Play Action plays, but I'm not so sure. I'll have to research the entire list of playbooks in this game to find out.

I have, there's a couple in the Strong Pro I believe on a deep post route.

Great to use with a rocket armed QB (Like Steve Bartowski).

Re: Due to the videogame football players love of the mobile QB...

I have Cunningham on my team, but I rarely run with him. The only reason I picked him was because he was the silver QB I felt most comfortable with. I tried using Stabler and Dawson, but they didn't throw as hard as Cunningham does.

All offensive positions possible, it's ridiculous, but I don't blame them, what can you do. And no I don't want 2k to ban created players online either because I love playing my all-time giant squad every now and then.
