Why 2K is trying to copy from Madden?

I don't get it, why they don't make a game with original ideas and not a game full of things that we already seen and dislike 3 years in a row on the other game? and please, don’t start with the "you haven’t played the game yet" what I see on the Videos is the exact game with the same animations, same cut scenes, same play by play on a 3 years old engine, then adding things that are already on the game that they want to compete against (without the NFL License) is a joke to watch that "Fieldpass" that is already on Madden, by the way that's going to get old really quick, and what about the Boards? again I'm not trying to bash the game, but based on the videos, previews this game in my opinion is not going anywhere, I guess that the guys at EA Sports are laughing now.

Man you seem to be in the minority with that opinion. To me it looks refreshing and very well worth the purchase price. Best thing this year is people will have a choice. I'll be playing both.

I think that the biggest thing that this game has gameplay-wise to differentiate from years past is that it is just an overall smarter game. There are way less things to exploit, etc. Plus the reach-tackle system that has been included.

However, the selling points are the next-gen upgrade and the list of Legends.

on the contrary, Madden got ideas from 2k5. For instance, in Madden 06, there was the passing breakdown, that came from 2k5. In NCAA 08, that sort of first person that it does, came from 2k5. Oh yeah, precision in Madden 06 was in 2k5. So who stole from whom when they got the official license?
