Does any one know how signal stealer works yet? I hope that it is not too effective. I think that these "special abilities" have the potential to render the game unsim and NFL-Street-like, if they are too imbalanced.

Whether we see it or not, there has to be number ratings behind the scenes in APF. If not, how could they determine who is faster if someone has the speedster (made up) attribute for example?
I guess you could have a clutch rating, where the higher the number, the more your QB is impacted in the 4th quarter.

My problem with the current system is it seems like everything is either on or off or black and white. At least from the sound of it, there doesn't seem to be in between...at least one you can see.

In otherwords, every QB who has a "4th Qtr Comeback" attribute would seem to be awsome in the 4th quarter, while everyone without it would be average. Well what about the player inbetween, who steps it up better than most, but maybe not as good as Montana or Elway.

If 5 WR's have Speed Burner, do they all run the exact same speed? If not, when drafting a player, how do you know which one is the fastest?

These are the questions i asked myself today. For CAP's i have to assume all default WR (For example) without a special speed ability would be the same speed.

The Question is- will this be like that with the default legends? I have to assume there is hidden ratings just so WR are faster than DT, etc but until the game is out i don't see how we'll know if WR A without speed boost is faster than WR B without a speed boost. I am going to guess and say they'll be similar in speed if not the same.

I agree i do things will be black and white but we'll find out soon.

I didn't see anything about blocking and offensive line play.

May be equivalent to the Smart QB weapon in Madden 08 where you can see the play of the opponent once in the game.
Or maybe, if the ooponent use the same play in defense more than x time, then the next timeS he uses it , play will appear before the snap if you have a QB who has 'signal stealer' attribute.

Just guessing

The only reason this was done was because they were to lazy to edit each player with # ratings.

lets narrow down the rating and spread them out and call it new and unique . I call it lazy and not needed.
