When I originally heard about APF2K8, I immediately was intrigued. Since then, I've come to the realization that I only wanted to get one football game this fall, and I was leaning heavily towards Madden after reading about all the upgrades and seeing some of the movies.

Yet the more I read about APF and watch the movies, the more I'm interested in getting it. I love the customization of options, I love the stadium designs. The thing is, I'm franchise/career/GM mode guy and the lack of that sucks. I realize having a franchise mode with legends who are on multiple teams would be weird, but still the thought of being 1 season and done is not appetizing.

I'm really going to have to wait to play the demo. I was wondering who else is in a similar boat as I?

I'm on that boat as far as NCAA and Madden are concerned. It's more a money thing than anything else. I'm picking up Rugby 08 on the same day as APF and that leaves little time for much else.

Plus, my fiance would KILL me if I was rotating between three football games...

Wait for the demo, and decide.

As for me, I've been waiting for this game 3 years and won't hesitate to buy it when I have the chance.

I will wait for demo but the NCAA demo comes out tomorrow so 2k better get in gear!

APF will be my online football game, while Madden will be my offline franchise game. I have always enjoyed the 2 player game for 2K football over Madden. 2K football always felt like it made both players play sim or pay the price for not doing so. Don't get me wrong, there has always been cheesy plays in 2K football that cheaters would exploit, but no where near the level of Madden.

Madden on the other hand has always blown 2K out of the water with it's franchise mode. Each game has their strenghs and weaknesses but I am glad that I have the option to have both once again!

Now only if Fever and Gameday could return as well

Its hard to folk over 59.99 for a game with no replay value... NO!!!! franchise thats early 90's......
