I never saw this movie. I just flipped it on and noticed the Americans (with a red flag on the helmet) beating the Sharks early in the movie.

Coincidence of team names in APF2K8? I'll be watching the rest of the movie to see if other team names are similar to ones we already know about in the game.

There are a few movie and TV references in this game. One of the architechs of one of the fictional stadiums is listed as G.L. Costanza, a Seinfeld reference. One of the other stadiums is called Wolfram and Hart Stadium, which was the demonic law firm in the TV show Angel. Kind of embarrased that I actually know that.

When I first heard about APF 2k8 possibly being a generic football title I immediatly thought about Any Given Sunday and the Miami Sharks. A pretty cool movie actually, especially considering all the pros in the game.
