My CPU defensive players are good, I have Mike Singletary

It's just when I try to user tackle, the runningbacks always spin and I always miss .. anyway to counter this? The reach tackle thing isn't working too well for me right now also

NOOOOOOOO! Please tell me this isn't NFL2k4 all over again? The nightmares..I still remember that. Ricky Williams left, Ricky Williams right and the defense just stood there like ******s.
Good thing they released 2k5 the next season, best football game ever.

Let me know NOW so I don't waste $60 on bubblegum football. Can you or can you not stop the run like on NFL2k5..no one could run on me on 2k5.

If you put together a run stoppin D fence your stopping the run, period. Play for the pass well, your giving up the strong front. Try to balance it out with ball hawks and hope for turnovers is another way. Not 2k4 thats for sure.

I just faced an opponent that used Payton online and the reason he lost is because he tried to air it out from Montana to Reed because he had gotten 3 TD's. I was losing because i decided to use my weaker passing offense to try to get back into the game. I started running in the 3rd and 4th to tie up the game and i created 2 INT's because he went away from the game that was winning it for it. In OT i hit 1 power sweep w/ Sanders and i got a 60+ TD for the game to give me 3 in a row.

Running game feels nothing like 2k4 if you choose the correct players or a decent big hitter combined with guys that can help him out.

For me the key to stopping or slowing down the run, is calling the right front's and playing team defense.

I just played against Barry Sanders. He rushed for 113 yards on me, but 35 of those came on one play, where the offense caught me in a bad defense, and he got in to space and made some people miss.

All generics on my DL, my defensive 'legends' are Spielman, Barney and Tatum. I'm thinking i should go for a DL too but i'd have to get rid of an offensive guy. Hopefully next year they'll have more legends or better generic players that we can actually see what their specialty is.

I use Derrick Thomas and let the CPU control him and I take control of a generic ILB and double team the HB. I've had no problem stopping the silver and gold RB's. Note: this is on the All Pro Setting. Haven't tried Ledgend yet.
