EA is not using player likenesses that are current NCPA members. They have the rights from the schools to use the jerseys, #'s, etc. No collegiate athlete in their right mind is going to try and win a lawsuit claiming EA is making money off their likeness.

2k on the other hand, is hurting to the point where law fees could hurt the brand. Thus, the reason any possibility to having John Doe recreate the NY Giants was not made easily available. Whether or not the suit would be held is irrelevant; They can't afford to be in court.

Having said that, I have a really good New York "Goliaths" jersey scheme if anyone wants it. Looks JUST like the "G" men.

I just don't see how they can be held liable for having a competant cap mode. As long and they don't create unlicensed players/teams and don't distribute them what can they be held liable for.

There's a million reasons why the game player editor blows. Are they trying to appease the NFL? Did they limit it so you couldn't create additonal legends. Did they limit it so there wasn't an imbalance online? Or is this limited because 2k Sports has pulled one of their great moves and actually designed the player edit mode this way?

Oh no, I was simply referring to those that wanted a Winning Eleven like uni editor and such.

There simply is no excuse for the **** they passed off as the CAP. It's completely horrible. So much emphasis on player likeness and 90% of my CAPs look like Terrell Owens in some way.

not to be off topic but i think vc is so scared of not having a chance to get the license back, that they are limiting alot of things in this game. which is a shame. it seems like they are just too scared to make something using no nfl players. i enjoyed every minute i played, but felt somethings were lacking but the game play makes you forget alot of things.
