    Maximum Passing...

One feature I always thought made 2K great is Maximum Passing. I was so glad to see it has made it into the next gen versions. I didn't see it mentioned in the instruction manual, so I wanted to give people a heads up. (I apologize if it is in there and this is old news). For those new to the 2K series, on the controller select screen, if you click down on the left stick, it will change your passing control to Maximum Passing. This allows you to aim where you throw the ball to a receiver (leading the reciever, underthrowing, etc.) using the right stick as you press the passing button, giving you much more control.

Hmmm, I discovered the ability to lead receivers last night but I was doing it with the left thumbstick and it was on by default. I did'nt have to click the thumbstick on the controller select screen, it was on by default.

The key to using the lead passing is to use the left thumbstick immediately after releasing the pass button and before the QB finishes his throwing animation. This has breathed new life into my offense as I was struggling in the passing game. I am now able to throw passes over the top, underneath and to either side of my receiver...good stuff. I know 2K5 had this but I was thinking that they took it out of 2k8.

I didn't know All-Pro had this feature, this will probably help me alot with my qb underthrowing fade routes and deep passes.
