Secondly, what percentage of gamers actually finish multiple seasons of a franchise? Especially in a game such as this, where you want to tweak your roster as soon as you finish the first game in your season.

Finally, this game is like, to me at least, Tecmo Super Bowl (which just had season mode). It is just so damn fun to play that you want to play with a variety of different teams and players. I would never make it through more than one season with a team.

The only improvements they need to make are to expand the customization features. It would also be nice to be able to choose more than 13 legends, but only be allowed to have 2 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze in the game at one time. Almost like an active/inactive list. That would force even more strategy into each game of your season.
Just put an option in the game to turn "legends" off. Then you can have a franchise mode with made up players. Not too difficult.

Right, and there have been several decent hybrid franchise ideas tossed around here that found ways to involve legends, whether it be releasing a certain amount into the draft for a few years or starting each legend off as a rookie and letting them progress the way they did in real life or throwing them in at their prime.

It doesn't have to be the center point of the game, but just an option...why alienate a decent size portion of your fanbase because others think it is silly? It would have no impact to those that don't want it and would satisfy those who do....Win-Win situation.
