Its funny how people state that madden is sim and 2k isn't....why you ask lets take a look

1. vision cone was ea's answer to max passing
2. Hit stick started on 2k
3. juke stick started on 2k
3. gang tackling started on 2k
4. dirty uniforms started on 2k
5. mel kipers draft picks started on 2k
6. hot routes started on 2k
7. defensive adjustments started on 2k
8. weapons icons started on 2k
and theres probably more

Now Madden
1. ea started franchise

Things in 2k not implemented in Madden

1. Halftime and post game show(ea had this on genesis)
2. Announcers that are good
3. Atmosphere in game(The home team crowd in madden cheers the visitors scoring)
4. real time injuries

Things in madden that are not in 2k
1. superstar
2. owners mode
3. better field textures
4. real time weather

Overall Madden owes a lot of its inovation to 2k. both games have their sim qualities(and arcade qualities) . I have bought every madden since its inception and also 2ks games. I enjoy both but I lean towards 2k for overall fun. We all need 2k to do well so the best game of football can come out.

It's actually the total opposite especially on this site. EA is arcade and 2K is sim. I don't buy into it but most people here do and if you state otherwise it's world war 3.

One of my friends who prefers the EA football games compares it to the original NFL Blitz. Personally I can't see the basis for the comparison at all, but to each their own I guess.

Thats why I love this site. Go to any other site or game store and its liked there being paid by EA. A lot of people are brain washed that Madden is the best representation of football out there.
