Hay guys

How many games have been released on the 360 that aren't 59.99?

It probably would do better if the game was simply called "2k Legends."
All Pro is a status recieved because you were voted, by players and coaches, to be the best at your position that year.

That's true, too. It took me 3 games before seeing points scored of any kind. I wonder how many people will even give it 3 games. I understand the no commentary things, since most sports demos do that to keep the download from being too large.

Does anyone like the player chatter or field pass stuff? Even my wife, who doesn't mind me playing games, said she found it really annoying. I had to agree. It just seemed odd and really cheesy.

This is true. Furthermore the demo does nothing to tell non 2k players how to play the game. They don't even give you a loading screen with the controls.

Re: week 1: estimated sales

The game didn't do that bad. Whether or not it will continue to sell more copies we just do not know yet.

That site posted has the game ranked 7 overall. If you really want to get into it, it sold the 2nd most copies behind NCAA 08 when it comes to the 360.

So it is not yet a failure

Re: week 1: estimated sales

(1) I believe that 2K should have released the game around April or May at $60 with very little advertisement (mostly word of mouth).
(2) They could have used some of the money from the sales to be more aggressive in the latter part of June and the beginning of July to compete with NCAA.
(3) During the latter part of July, and early August, they should have some type of marketing angle/strategy to draw in more buyers.
(4) One week before Madden releases, they should drop the price to $39.
(5) Finally, they should drop the price to $29 during the Christmas/Holiday season.

The aforementioned strategy would be an attempt to build a stronger/larger fan-base by simply getting your product into the hands of the consumer. I believe that with today's economy, the average consumer will not be able to justify purchasing three football games. Therefore, a significantly lower price than the other games, would be a great incentive. Although I personally believe that the price is okay at $60 (compared to other games). I also know that the masses want more modes in the game to justify their $60 purchase.

That makes so much sense! Taketwo should hire you as the games producer IMO

Re: week 1: estimated sales

Well, at the very least we see that APF2K8 has more legs than 2k's arcade baseball game.

I STILL don't understand why they made The Bigs. MLB2K7 was arcade baseball (at least out-of-the box with default sliders.)
