LOL...this isnt locked??? my god. I ask what stores give you the most trade in value for all pro and im called a troll and the thread is locked. And a blatant EA 2k comparison isnt locked. wut a joke...lol

anyways I love 2kfootball...best football game ever created by miles. But i gotta disagree. I think ncaa08 brought the heat this year. I got all pro on release day and im still playin 2k5 to this day. But overall i would say in the large scheme of things EA football is stale, but NCAA 08 is the exception

You know what I call a fanboy? Someone that calls out people that like Madden as "12-13 year old kiddies" or people who don't know real football or people who prefer arcade. Maybe you think that is fine and dandy, but those that can see things objectly think differently.

And I didn't say anything about MY mindset. I brought up A mindset. And if you think having a mindset that is unbiased is weird, then I don't know what to say to you. Point out to me where I'm calling fanboyism to someone saying lots of positives about APF. I don't see how you could do that because it hasn't happened.

Maybe I'm not reading right, but personally, I don't see all this hatred coming from the Madden crew. Are they around? Of course. But nowhere as prevelant as the 2K people. And the 2K people are some bold folks. So maybe that is why I don't see what you are talking about. Usually the most persecuted aren't the ones attacking, IMO.

I don't care about comparisons myself, but I know on OS, it leads to chaos. And locked threads. And bannings.

I agree... you can still see what is the focus of both companies (I'll let everyone make their own conclusion).

However, I can NOT say I always feel like I have control of my DB. It's really my biggest problem with the game.

It's funny, I HAVE to play DL or LB in 2k games... and I HAVE to play DB or LB in EA's games to enjoy them.

I don't know about your thread but why would this one be locked? (although the title is a bit provocative, as I've mentioned before)

Also, when you use the term 'blatant' you are inferring that there is something amiss with a direct 2K/EA comparison.

Most people want those comparisons, which is why these forums are visited in the first place.

We just want those comparisons to happen in an adult fashion, a mature fashion.

The reason why you see less APF talk in the EA Football game threads is simple. For the last 2+ years all of the 2K fans have had to play has been EA games. Their company of choice was forced out of the market by EA with the exclusivity agreements they signed. So for that stretch of time when there was NO 2K football product to play we HAD to play Madden and NCAA by default, if you wanted to play the latest football games on the market.

So it's only natural, now that 2K football is back, that 2K fans will be comparing this latest game to what they've been FORCED to play the last 2+ years, EA products.

On the flip side, A LOT of EA supporters, really don't like to even give 2K Sports football a serious try, nor have they been FORCED to even pick the game up and give it a looksee. So the end result is that the conversation generally focuses on comparing this year's EA Sports products with the previous year's.
